1. I'm headed over there next week, gonna be checking out Barcelona and Madrid. Any rawesome places I should visit?

I was also going to go and buy a Samsung mp3 player over there that isn't available here yet, recommend me a good electronics store I can go visit or something.

Sweeet.

2. Facada of Sagrada Familia Cathedral, Barcelona - take pics of that =)

I think naranhito and sinterklaas are from Madrid.

3. I reeeallly want to go to Barcelona. Ah well, maybe next year.

4. Hmmm let's see...On the mp3 player...you can check "El Corte Ingles" (expensive), FNAC or Media Markt for instance, though I don't know if here you'll find it cheaper than in wherever you're from.

Places to visit in Barcelona: "La Sagrada Familia" and other buildings by Gaud, "Las Ramblas" (the main avenue), partying at the "Puerto" (the zone at the seaside), the beach, FC Barcelona's stadium, the Agbar tower, the area of the '92 Olympic Gams and the latest Forum of the Cultures...If you spend several days in Barcelona you should definitely plan a day-trip to Andorra, there's where you can find cheap electronics (cheap everything actually, due to their low taxes) and a great, great, great, awesome spa named Caldea. However, Andorra is a country better to be visited during winter with all the snow

Places to visit in Madrid: Several Museums as the Retiro, Reina Sofa, Thyssen-Bornemisza (all of them very close to each other, around the Paseo del Prado). Streets as the Paseo de la Castellana, Gran Via and the mentioned Paseo del Prado and streets around. You can take a tourist bus around the "Madrid of the Austrias" (the previous linage of Kings) where you'll find great buildings. Also, check El Retiro (a nice park), the Casa de Campo (a huuuge park with some small museums, nice sights, an amusement park and a Zoo-Aquarium); Real Madrid stadium...
Party at night in the discos Kapital, Joy, and in areas like "Torre Europa", "Alonso Martinez", "Manuela Malasaa" (alternative style) or "Chueca" (if you're into the gay ambient).

As I'm from Madrid I can tell you more on that. In less than 30 min a train can take you to a Warner Bros Amusement Park, or for a longer time, either to Aranjuez (a beautiful small city full of gardens, rivers and great palaces), Alcala de Henares (with a great classic architecture and a nice Quijote heritage - with even a special train which tells you stories about him and such) or to the mountain (Sierra de Guadarrama) where there are some natural swimming pools with a very cold, pure water.
You can also visit Toledo (about half and hour far from Madrid using the hi-speed train), where you'll find both Muslim, Jew and Christian heritage, buildings and culture.

Feel free to ask more

13. hey, naranhito, do u like spanish hip-hop? its preety damn good

14. Madrid is awesome.

15. I'm not really into that music style, but yeah it seems that the genre is growning now here, with Frank T, 7 notas 7 colores, la Mala Rodriguez and a thousand other artists I don't know.

16. Indeed

Oh well, appart from the pollution and how half of the streets are cut due to works and constructions and such. But yeah

17. Havent gone to Spain yet. Also I've heard from friends that Barcelona is an extremely awesome city

18. I thought I noticed a smell.

19. Victoria Beckham said Madrid smells like garlic, but oh well you know her. It must be the pollution, the traffic/constructions or the inmigrants.

20. I lasted half a day in Madrid and begged our Airline company to get us out, luckily they did and sent us to Tokyo (on the way home). That place is so boring, it makes Canberra look like VEgas

21. nou camp

22. When you're in Madrid, go to Xanadu and try the indoor snowboard park.

It's not very good, but it's a laugh riot watching all those little shpaniolies trying to snowboard down the hill.

23. Marbella (South of Spain) is great but isn't near Mardid thus not a place to go when you're in Madrid

24. It's like the town is on permanent siesta.

25. Very true, its just dead.

Barcelona on the other hand was great
