Are the Beatles overrated?

  1. like others i say no, in the way they shifted the industry.

but as for how good their music actually is? yes it is over rated imo.
  2. They're good, but they're no Jars of Clay or Switchfoot.
  3. You must gotta be kidding me. Zep had so many awesome songs. Kashmir was a song that was way ahead of its time.
  4. Let them die already.
  5. They're good, but they're no Linkin Park or Nickleback
  6. Mozart will die before The Beatles.
  7. They're good, but they're no Theory Of A Deadman or Evanescence
  8. Mozart is a genius, The Beatles are stoned brits.
  9. what is genius then
  10. I don't feel Mozart as much as I feel Mussorgsky or Tchaikovsky though.
  11. It's ok son <A BORDER="0" HREF=""><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="pitlane/emoticons/smile.gif"></A>
  12. yeah, right.

he already lasted a couple centuries. The beatles are already not listened to by lots of people and its only been 40 years.
  13. i dont care about the beatles anymore. when i was 10 i listend to them hardcore, but 'grew out' of it, rather i expanded my horizons from there. i really get bored listening to them now.

but, i figure it's significant if the first non-rap rock music i listened to was the Beatles, and probably had some sort of impact on my later tastes. so im willing to give the band some credit there.
  14. i listen to the beatles a lot more then i listen to mozart
  15. in the history of music, yes

but to listen to now, no
  16. I don't think they're overrated. I just don't like them.
  17. Time will tell.
  18. I'd definitely say more people currently listen to the Beatles more frequently than Mozart. And by a large margin. Not saying they're going to outlast Mozart or anything, just saying. Lots of people don't listen to anything, let alone stuff that's 40 years old.
  19. in his time he was prodigal, his shit is boring, though. he composed in an era without feelings. too much of a math nerd to have real emotions evoked by his music.
  20. I agree. But there are people who are still alive from when the beatles were uber popular.
  21. DJ Tiesto man
  22. Time will tell but in post #62 you implied that we already know. dahldrin showed that we don't already know.
  23. So glad you're agreeing with me
I felt insecure around all the Wolfgangbangers
