i like this new owner. im so excited about all this new stuff i peed my pants a little.
Yeah, generally I'm positive too after admin's last post
There are some issues right now which may not be an issue if we start from scratch:
When a post gets deleted, it becomes marked for moderators and invisible (as if it never existed) to all other users. When a thread then becomes larger than 1 page, the 1st page on the next page won't show for normal users because there's an invisible post still somewhere that adds to the postcount of a thread. Moderators don't have this problem. A solution could be actually deleting the post instead of merely masking it invisible for other users.
Moderators, however, can not see beyond page 1 of a poll (without editing the url). This is a glitch I suspect that's quite easy to fix.
Karma is what later got used on other forums too and it's very much comparable to the like-thumb on facebook nowadays. Karma was thread-specific and given to the thread creator. If you liked (or disliked) a thread, you could give a +1 or -1. The total karma score would be displayed below a username. If you had over 100 karma points then... I don't even know what happened then, I got stuck on 99.
Nothing really happens here and it's mostly limited to user requests to have posts deleted (or whole accounts) and spam cleaning. So whoever is around fairly regularly from various parts of the world to cover timezones.
All the other bits and pieces in the post seem pretty positive to me, so good luck with fixing/patching/rewriting
- Pro-active admin. NOT MY STRENGTH (JUST WANT TO BE FULLY TRANSPARENT TO YOU GUYS. CAN WE HAVE A "ADVISORS" PANEL WHO COULD REACH OUT TO ME DIRECTLY TO SOLVE BIG ISSUES? I'M OPEN TO IDEAS.
I guess this is what the moderators forum could be reused for. We used to talk to the old 'admin' on there from time to time. It's a nice centralised place to talk about how rude supraman is without him knowing, too.
I second using the Moderator Forum to discuss forum activity and needs, so long as Admin is willing to check in and get feedback.
As well as supraman being rude, we can also discuss great prices on 42" Plasma TVs, and browse the latest gallery of PandaSis pics.

This is some exciting news honestly.
We're getting rescued!
I would like to see V8stangman as mod.
Your boy sold you down the river.
Yeah, my bad.
And it looks promising.
I'm already a mod, since 2002.
As one of the few people with a car that could kinda sorta maybe be considered "super", clearly I should be mod #1.
Is this real life?
nobody likes a show-off
lol oh ya
Hey Guys. I like the idea of a Moderator Forum. We should definitely do that when new forum software is set up.
A bit about me (since somebody asked). My name is Nick. I live in Long Island in New York. Born and raised in Australia. Married, two little boys. I drive a 2016 C63 AMG (miss my 2012 naturally aspirated 6.2liter but man this twin turbo is fun).
