best car in its class

  1. man you get some package for this car, 405 hp V-8 great looks and comfort for $50,000. and dont keep saying it does 0-60 in 3.9, thats a little falsified, the lowest ive seen in any car magazines own road test of the car is 4.3. but even thats still pretty good. i cant stand it when people say the Z06 doesnt have good handling. Car and Driver said "its one of the best handling cars they've ever driven". The latest Consumer Guide for cars says its handling "is among the best in the world", so i would trust the experts wouldnt you? Im sorry to say that if the C6 Corvette which is going to be released in 2005, looks like what is on the cover of the August issue of Road & Track im gonna shoot myself. To say the least it looks god awful. But once again the Z06 is a great addition to the Corvette greats.

When car magazines test cars though, they're brand new. I bet once the engine gets broken in a little, this car could hit 60 in under 4 secs.

I guess it's suspension was a vast improvement over the 01 Z06. C&D rated '01 Z06 a .93 skidpad, and said it was "Tail happy". It's the issue comparing the Cobra R, Viper ACR and Z06.

  5. Re: best car in its class

yeah this car is awesome for 50 grand but in it's class you gotta admit the viper is king!

I'm sorry to say, but yes it's true.

Re: best car in its class

But I had a Video with Mustang Cobra R , Vs Corvette Z06 vs Dodge Viper ACR. The Corvette got first because of it's handleing and because of it's price. The Viper got 2nd because of it's speed and american muscle. The Mustang Cobra R got last because it's only ment to one thing. Race, it had no inteior, no air conditioning and so on. Hmm I'll edit this if i can find the website. http://www.zo6vette.com/media.php look for the thumbnail that says Z06/Viper/Cobra Shootout near the bottom. It should have a picture of a grill of the Cobra.

"The Chevy corvette z06 was proclaimed the winner, the both mustang cobra R and the Dodge Viper ACR were closley behind"

vettes own the american class, but TVR is pretty cool too. but i like vettes better. personal preferance. TVR owns viper though.

  13. Re: best car in its class

tvr will never own a souped up viper. the tvr can only own a single rt 10 or a gts. and there is a car far more better than the z06 it is the zr1

  14. Re: best car in its class

One good thing about a Z06 is that you take the 30 grand you would've spent on the Viper and give your Vette to Lingenfelter (it dosen't even have to be a Z06). Then you could have a Vette that will definitely beat the Viper.

as far as englands concerned, cerbera 4.5 all the way. its faster, lighter, better looking and rawer, in my opinion.

    TVRs RULE!

  19. Re: best car in its class

the vettesoutsells the tvr for the price and the performances and even a lingenfleter z06 tt 427 stage 2 would be a better purchase than a tvr that was proved

  20. Re: best car in its class

True, and from what I've heard on this forum about TVR, the Lingenfelter would be much more reliable even with a twin turbocharged 800 HP engine.

  21. Re: best car in its class

you are forgetting i am ENGLISH. tvr cerberas are around the same price as Z06s.

and why would anyone want an 800 hp cerbera? its raw enough as it is.

    TVRs do rule.

  22. Re: best car in its class

Personally I don't like the styling of TVR's, but everything else about them is awesome.

  23. Re: best car in its class

i think a westfield XTR2 would give it a run for its money.

    XTR2: £25000 0-60= 3.0

Also for a more practical car a noble M12 comes pretty close.

  24. Re: best car in its class

What did I say about an 800 HP Cerbera. NOTHING. TVR's are not built for daily driving like this car is.

  25. Re: best car in its class

Vette can now officaly SMOKE VIPERS!!!!
