Best Front Engine Supercar Out There

Discussion in '1997 Ferrari 550 Maranello' started by Zoomy3, Aug 9, 2002.

  1. Enzo Ferrari once said and firmly believed, "The horse should always pull the cart, it never pushes from behind." However, most supercars have gone away from this, even Ferrari, and created great mid or rear engine cars. Is there really another front-engine car this powerful? Don't think so.<!-- Signature -->

I dont excatly know what the power of the new Austin Martin V12 vanquish but i do know that it to is a front engine V12 that produces alot of power. But at the end of last year car and driver did a track test between those two beasts and the Ferrari came out on top.<!-- Signature -->

I'm pretty sure that the 550 is overall a faster car, and I know its got better handling.<!-- Signature -->

Yes, front engine cars are nice, because more front wheel grip. But mid engine cars (In my opinion) are the best. This car probably is the best Front engine/ Rear drive car.

Ya these are pretty sweet, I saw one in Boulder Colorado go flying around a corner not even the slightest tire squeal. Very good cornering for front engine rear wheel.

Yeah I would take this over the Vanquish any time!

Guess what? A 575 is more powerful than this!

Ummmmmm... has anyone ever heard of the TVR Speed 12? Front engine, rear wheel drive, over 800bhp. 'Nuff said.

I heard of the Speed 12. Its like 2100 lbs. 800 hp. Would beat this Marenello. Probably beat the Enzo. But its hardly a road car.

I'd say a Viper's faster than this, but not as nice on the inside.
