Best Porsche?

  1. Is this the best Porsche ever made? Well, many people seems to think that, and I'm willing to agree with them. This is one of the rawest and fast-for-it-time Porsche ever bulit.
  2. Re: Best Porsche?

I think that it is the car that better defines the Porsche filosophy. For me is the greatest Porsche of all time. I would love to see the a new Carrera RS on the 996 series.
  3. Re:

they've produced one in the 996 series. Not as nuts as this one, I'm afraid. The epitomy of Porsche design and performance philosophy is the carrera 2.7RS. Love to have one, but in the dry please
  4. yes, this is the coolest old porsche
  5. This and the 959 are some of the best Porsches ever made.
  6. the best old porsche, for me its probably one of the most pure supercars ever made, one model came with a roll cage as standard!!! but when talking about the greatest porsche, you just cant name one. the 959 is a great car, maybe the best all round everyday supercar ever made, the GT1 was a race car for the road, with brute acceleration and decceleration, the GT2 and GT3 cars are proof that Horsepower isnt everything, thats why these cars will walk all over lambos and ferraris. perhaps the best shape for the 911 has been the 993 series, but then agian they all look damn nice. but my favorite porsche, well im not even sure if this car is considered a real porsche, is Vern Schuppan Porsche 962 CR.
  7. people confuse old with new. sure it may be the best performing porsche of that age. but c'mon you're going to give up new technology like ABS, stability control/traction control, functional interior with something that you can say would make it to the race track but nowhere near the highways? c'mon it's not even fast as the 911's we have now.
  8. What about the one in your avatar?
  9. The 2.8 RS is cooler <A BORDER="0" HREF=""><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="pitlane/emoticons/tongue.gif"></A>
  10. This may be the best ROAD Porsche ever, but I'd much rather have a 917, a 956, or a 962.
