    what you get now?

  3. :-(

    GTI next?

  4. I was 100% sold on the GTi
Then I took a 125i with a bunch of m sport shit for a drive ~10 days later. I was confused.
Was hard to make a direct comparison after so long so took the GTi out again straight after. The GTi feels more aggressive all the time which is kind of cool but, maybe I'm getting old, kind of tiring all the time.
Took the 125i out for a second, much longer drive the next day and was just blown away. It's as quiet, comfortable and unassuming as you could want from almost any car, but gathers speed just as, if not more rapidly than the GTi, while still being just as, if not more fun (I've missed RWD) in the corners. It was more comfortable (probably the m sport seats), and the dash layout and materials were just so superior.

So for the first time in my life, I own an auto. The N20 + ZF 8HP gearbox combo is seriously sublime.

I pick it up tomorrow afternoon.

  7. Wait are you based in Auckland now or picking up the car from here?
I thought you were over in the USofA#1

  8. Oh nice. Yeah I've done parts of all those roads but that looks more comprehensive. Piha always has the fun of #$%#ing tourists driving their Japan version of Corollas at 40km/h. I'll be going for a blat tomorrow afternoon once I pick it up.

Was in Canada for work. Still Wellington based. Girlfriend's working in Auckland. Pretty much a transient.

  9. Yeah they're not quite Moonshine Road levels of twisties but they are still good fun.
Let me know if you ever want to race for pinks chump

  10. str8 line drags down some west auckland industrial estate
i have an open agenda tomorrow afternoon when i pick it up and prob friday though i wanna get tintz

  11. Yep, on semis now for added rock flicking ability.
I think I have work at like 3pm, but Friday is mostly free

  12. ill bet youre all over semis
coo ill see when / if i can get tintz done
    youre out west right

  13. know any good tint guys?

  14. Most would recommend carfoile, but I've heard some very mixed opinions of them.
I'll check tomorrow, I think I know of a couple

  15. Congtars! Lets start a scnet 1 series club and put our ranks in our signatures like the old days.

  16. ZF 8 speed tranny is indeed a marvel.

    congrats

  17. 125i over a gti makes sense, nice choice.

  18. Look at this guy with an automatic transmission

That trunk got enough room for your walker?

  19. the trunk has a little strap that stops a bottle of wine from rolling around
now i just need to rig up a straw that runs from there to my mouth
