  1. Re: Re:

Nope. a 2002 used SVT Focus costs CAD$16000.

Even if it does worths more, i can understand that, becuz it is being beuilt in Europe. It's more like an European car.

  2. Re: Buying a Civic is a bad investment.

Y? the Civic Type-R is exponentially better than the Si. You need to learn a little more about cars dude.

  3. Re: Buying a Civic is a bad investment.

He was saying the word "is". Like "the dog IS white". that is totally diffrerent from Si.

you need a lession in english.

And when did i ever say the type R isnt better than the Si? stop putting words in my mouth, n00b. you know jack shit about cars.

  4. Re: Buying a Civic is a bad investment.

texas 1 - read his post again, I thought you were referring to his, not the one he was referring to, and yes I know the one before said "Civic IS", but when he said "buying a Civic IS a bad idea" he was probably thinking of the Civic Si, no one in their right mind would say that buying a Civic Type-R is a bad idea. Or if they're going for fuel economy, an want decent performance for that fuel economy, no one in their right mind would say that buying a Civic hybrid is a bad idea.

Therefore saying that "Buying a Civic IS a bad idea" is too broad a statement, I think that's what Honda rulez was getting at.

You're from Texas, your knowledge of cars does not even qualify as actual knowledge. All you people know about is Money, Oil, and Guns.

  5. Re: Buying a Civic is a bad investment.

    Look.
He was saying that buying a civic is a bad idea. that you shouldnt buy a civic. he in no way got SI and IS mixed up. its much more logical for someone to post "Buying a civic is a bad idea" than "buying a civic Si bad idea."

and you dont know anything about texas, and currently, im not even in texas.

    your logic is not right.

  6. Re: Buying a Civic is a bad investment.

Wow, you really need to learn to read. I guess I'll have to clarify.

I in no way said that he got them screwed up and I thought I made it clear that Honda rulez didn't either. I said that saying that "buying a Civic is a bad idea" is a stupid thing to say unless he was thinking of versions OTHER than the Type-R or the Civic hybrid. Yes, buying a Civic CX, DX, or SI wouldn't be a very good idea (unless you compare them to similar models from other manufacturers), the SI isn't quite sporty enough for its price.

I know enough about Texas to say that they don't have anything resembling a REAL road, and I've met enough Texans to say that in general their logic on everything is "Bigger is Better" which is a very ignorant point of view. And just because you've moved to another state doesn't instantly make you open minded and wiser.

I bet you're one of those americans who think that the WWE is real, and that americans have the best hockey players, and that Canada is just the 52nd state. If you do know the truth of these things that doesn't mean you're not ignorant, it just makes you less ignorant than the average american.

  7. Re: Buying a Civic is a bad investment.

Buying any civic is a bad idea exept for a dailey drives. It doesnt matter what model you buy. Civics loose their valuse quick, and are not the performance cars.

you should stop steriotyping texas and america, because chances are you could never point out a texan in real life and have never been to texas. you have no Fucking idea on how ignorant your post is. You think everyone from texas is a redneck, yet you have probably never set foot in texas or within 300 miles of it. You probably cant name 2 cities in Texas, and could not point it out on the map.

  8. Re: Buying a Civic is a bad investment.

Look at the resale value for both Civics and Focus of the same year. Yes, most are excellent daily drivers but not performance, however some models make for excellent race cars in their class.

I can point out a texan, I have been there a number of times, and hopefully will never go back, I have family there (and even they joke about themselves and other texans) I know where it is, and I know what cities lie within the border (well 3 of them anyway). From what I've seen there ARE a lot of rednecks there, and I just said what I did in my last post to rile you up (apparently it worked....*cough*redneck*cough*)

  9. Re: Buying a Civic is a bad investment.

Where do you live then? Huh, I see plenty of rednecks everywhere, and Texas certainly not filled with them.

  10. Re: Buying a Civic is a bad investment.

You know where I live, Canada, it's in another post to another topic in reply to one of your posts.

Yes rednecks are abundant everywhere, but never have I seen so many in one day as when I was in Texas.

  11. Re: Buying a Civic is a bad investment.

No wonder everyone hates Canadians, you people steriotype too much.

  12. Re: Buying a Civic is a bad investment.

Uh-huh, hate to break it to you but........well there are too many flaws with that theory.

A stereotype is not a stereotype if it's based on first hand experience. I.E. Calling R1CERS by that very name isn't a stereotype because you do see too many of them on the streets. If you see some guy decked out in cowboy duds, looking (and smelling) like he hasn't showered in weeks with a half bottle of moonshine in one hand and the other on his sister's breast as he pulls her over to sit on his lap, then calling him a redneck isn't a stereotype now is it?

  13. Re: Buying a Civic is a bad investment.

I see atleast 3 ryced up cars a day... so does everyone else. That is no exaggeration, but you know what your are saying is. You dont live in Texas, do you? I could go to canada and see nothing but rednecks and such, and call you weird, but you would say i am steriotyping.

  14. Re: Buying a Civic is a bad investment.

    No I wouldn't.

  15. Re: Re:

    Just read newpaper.

  16. Re: Buying a Civic is a bad investment.

Uh, well shit guys, im sitting right here in San Antonio and i have no idea what you guys are talking about. I mean, Texas isnt the only place with hicks in this country. As amazing as it sounds, its true. Hicks are not some regional phenomenon. Just go into any other state, and you are bound to find hicks. Just because you might see a couple during your stay here, doesnt mean everyone is one. By the way, what the hell do hicks have to do with the Civic Type-R?

You might have to go back a few pages to find out how the conversation progressed<A BORDER="0" HREF="http://www.supercars.net/emoticons.html"><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="http://speed.supercars.net/cboardhtml/emoticons/wink.gif"></A>.

No he doesnt, I will give you people what happened

He got scared, so he decided to make fun of texas.

    Huh?!?<A BORDER="0" HREF="http://www.supercars.net/emoticons.html"><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="http://speed.supercars.net/cboardhtml/emoticons/sad.gif"></A>?!? where did you get that impression? I think you're just ticked because I proved you wrong and you can't think of anything better to say<A BORDER="0" HREF="http://www.supercars.net/emoticons.html"><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="http://speed.supercars.net/cboardhtml/emoticons/wink.gif"></A>

  20. Re: Buying a Civic is a bad investment.

ouch, that smarts huh. But still, even proving someone wrong cant make up for bashing every texan in one deft swing.

  21. Re: Buying a Civic is a bad investment.

Actually I really only did that because I knew it would piss him off, apparently it worked.

  22. Re: Buying a Civic is a bad investment.

This is stoopid i can end it rite now
    1. Texas has hicks/rednecks
    2. there are plenty of r!cers
    is every one happy?

but you're taking all the fun out of it<A BORDER="0" HREF="http://www.supercars.net/emoticons.html"><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="http://speed.supercars.net/cboardhtml/emoticons/wink.gif"></A>, besides that's really not what the debate was about, but if you insist we can get back to the topic.

Buying a Civic is only a bad investment if you're searching for lack of reliability and a car that doesn't offer decent reliability and performance.
