So I'm going to get one mainly for using when I'm travelling, any suggestions? I just want something that is user-friendly, has a reasonable amount of storage, is light enough and has USB for transferring files. I looked into the iPad 2 but that isn't for me. I saw this one, is this one OK? http://www.jbhifi.com.au/computers/acer/iconia-10-inch-32gb-tablet-sku-68701/

Apple website shows the cheapest MBA to be $1099 for an 11" 64Gb model. Was there ever a 10 inch model?
I guess i was thinking of the 11" model. Still $400 is a fair chunk of change...but it does have some nice features...
If it was $400 I probably would have bought it by now.. please don't tell me it was on sale at that price and I missed out. The student discount brings it down to $1049 for the entry level Macbook Air..
I played with it last Friday and it lagged a little <A BORDER="0" HREF="http://www.supercars.net/PitLane?displayFAQ=y"><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="pitlane/emoticons/disappointed.gif"></A> Will wait for next version..
the lower spec air is the 11" version, i just remembered it incorrectly. $1049 is a little more palatable for the air. so only $350 difference between the eee pad and the air which is what i was referring to earlier.
I'd probably buy the Asus Eee Pad Transformer. Seems like a nifty piece of kit, pretty cheap too. I have an HP Tx2690, it's ok but it's always given me trouble. I think it might be the software that's defective. I spilled some fizzy drink on it so the cpu is fried now apparently. I was looking at the Asus and if I had a desktop computer at home to fill all my Windows needs I would look very seriously at buying that.
"it's ok but it's always given me trouble" bascially every none-apple tablet pc and its not ok, youre jsut dumb
