Re: Can any car beat a 2001 Lingenfelter 427 Corvette Twin-Turbo No street legal car would be able to beat it in a straight line, so technically, it is the fastest street legal car in the world.
Re: Can any car beat a 2001 Lingenfelter 427 Corvette Twin-Turbo I've driven a road registered and 100% street legal 1974 Mazda RX-4 coupe that ran a 8.64 @ 155 mph, but I managed a 8.89 @ 151mph when it was my turn to drive if i recall correctly. So no, the lingenfelter 427 is not the fastest. (I have to admit there are suprisingly many road registered cars that can do below 9 seconds 1/4 mile around, its not that fantastic anymore)
Re: Can any car beat a 2001 Lingenfelter 427 Corvette Twin-Turbo straight line isnt everything, and any car can beat any other car if you put enough money into it
Re: Can any car beat a 2001 Lingenfelter 427 Corvette Twin-Turbo its fast for straights but can it handle?
Re: Can any car beat a 2001 Lingenfelter 427 Corvette Twin-Turbo Ferrari Inzo, Bugatti 16/4 Veyron. Both street legal both beat it in a straight line. This Bugatti is the fastest car in the world with 1001hp 4 superchargers costing 2 million all sold for 2003. The Inzo is now the second because of the Veyron. I dont believe these count cause you cant buy them but there are a few concept cars that are street legal that could win, one of my favorites the Cadallic 16 with the V16 engine which would be the fastest production car on the planet if they produced it which they wont.
Re: Can any car beat a 2001 Lingenfelter 427 Corvette Twin-Turbo 16/4 Veyron has turbochargers, not superchargers, bro <A BORDER="0" HREF="http://www.supercars.net/emoticons.html"><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="http://speed.supercars.net/cboardhtml/emoticons/smile.gif"></A> So can it handle, then?
Re: Can any car beat a 2001 Lingenfelter 427 Corvette Twin-Turbo yeah, i agree, if you put enough money into something you can make it #$%#ing awesome. just imagine a zonda with quad turbo. hehe now that'll be a beast
Re: Can any car beat a 2001 Lingenfelter 427 Corvette Twin-Turbo how about a suzuki escudo pikes peak, toyota gt one(only one was street legal) any light car with a blown chevy 572ci. ALSO CONSIDER THE 1.9SEC 0-60MPH WAS TESTED ON DRAG SLICKS WITH NARROW FRONT TIRES.
Re: Can any car beat a 2001 Lingenfelter 427 Corvette Twin-Turbo Is 1.01+Gs on the skidpad enough? BTW this car is completely street legal, i.e the tires, it passes emissions, and there were no weight reductions, has A/C and power everything. I have yet to see a car with street legal tires and passes emmissions that can run under 9 seconds, and not have AWD.
Re: Can any car beat a 2001 Lingenfelter 427 Corvette Twin-Turbo Nope. Regular front tires, and DOT legal slicks. That means, if someone wanted to drive it on the road with the slicks that MT used on the track, they can.
Re: Can any car beat a 2001 Lingenfelter 427 Corvette Twin-Turbo a tuned murcielago can if you race the lingenfilter on a track and you got a good driver then yes. but in a stright line your on your own
Wrong. 1. Bugatti has turbos, not S/C's. 2. It's spelled "Enzo." 3. both of the cars you mentioned are 10 second cars, the Vette is a 9 second car. When I learned to count in kindergarten, I noticed 9
.... I noticed 9 was less than 10. 4. This is coming from someone who isn't even a muscle fan. P.S. it cut my message off =/
