Its a hellava hard business to break into...People have such tight connections with magazines and other people, most of which will not even give you a chance. I was lucky enough to start my own business with my brother, which has helped with contacts. Next year...Hopefully Laguna Seca MotoGP
Finally got to try out the new camera! It was almost dark out, but made for some cool blue flames and headlights....Had to use 800+ ISO all day. Jesus it is an amazing camera!
Being more a lens person, I guess the appeal is the fast focus and FPS? Vsmilegirl where are you located?
The focus is just so much faster! Plus the 8.5fps is something else too! Also the ability to AF with a 100-400mm w/1.4x teleconverter is very nice. I'm located in anytown USA aka Illinois... Here are couple from today...finally sun and crazy VW drivers! I am almost positive I wouldn't have gotten these with the 20D, 1/160 sec at 560mm.....
Right on the Wisconsin/Illinois border (Blackhawk Farms Raceway) Last event of the season was today....Fun little 1.9mile track in the woods.
Well...the first one is, the 2nd is the photog's little secret Noise Ninja. The noise is good on the 1D though...I love the increments..50,100,125,160,200,250,320 etc etc example below 1000 ISO without and with Noise Ninja

Hard to pass up the price and features of the D80 or other Nikons, how come you didn't get the new Rebel XTi? Curious I guess...
Four photos, all contaning the whole car <A BORDER="0" HREF="http://www.supercars.net/PitLane?displayFAQ=y"><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="pitlane/emoticons/amazed.gif"></A> What's the world coming to?! They look tons better.
Well, I really like the XTi's superior noise control, but that's about it. I tried it out last week and it felt the same as the XT. Plasticy and small. The viewfinder isn't as bright and it didn't feel like a major leap from the XT. Plus the lack of spot metering, which I use quite often.
