    Apparently SuperSonic 'drove' this car in need for speed. What he really drove was a reprentation of a car made of a polygon mesh, coded to move around a tv screen with whichever button he pressed on the playstaion controller...thats some real 'driving' for ya. <A BORDER="0" HREF="http://www.supercars.net/emoticons.html"><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="http://speed.supercars.net/cboardhtml/emoticons/wink.gif"></A>

    just kidding, i liked that game too but dont say you 'drove' it, i mean sure the performance is moddled after the real thing but its still a million miles away from actualy sitting in one of these babies

    better wait until u get some Physics qualifications before u start stating what parameters define top speed

    power to weight?...thats the best 1 ive heard so far, right up there with paintjob and how shiny the rims r

    ch1c4n3 you've got me curious. If power to weight ISN'T an important factor in determining top speed, what IS? And don't say "gearing." Cars are geared based on their power and their weight. (ohhh hey, power/weight that sounds familiar) hahaha and if you doubt that, look at the 1st gear in any V12 Lamborghini, the viper, etc etc etc they've all got looooong 1st gears so you don't rip the rear tires apart because of the POWER.

    so let's hear it smart boy, if you think power to weight ratio isn't important, what is???!?!?!?!?!

    If this car looks bland to you, you definatly are a fool.

    This has got to be one of the most intriging designs for a supercar to this day.

    well, u could have high power to very low weight ration, but that would not be the only variable at play in making cars go faster...as from a physics standpoint, the low weight and high power would push the car only so far until the force being exerted on the car was equal to the force the car was exerting on the air it was travelling through...kind of like terminal velocity when in free fall where a person continues accelerating towards the ground due to the pull of gravity, however, there will come a point when the force acting downwards on the person in free fall will be met with an opposing force in the opposite direction to the motion of the person of the magnitude as the force going down, this is the point where the person stops accelerating and reaches a terminal velocity...aerodynamics plays an important part, probably as important as power to weight, in determining top speed, as the drag is less, the car is able to be pushed through the air with less resistance and more ease, allowing for a greater speed to be accomplished before this later terminal velocity is reached...also, with less weight, the car would not be able to travel as fast, as the faster the car went, the car would reach its lateral terminal velocity much earlier without the power going straight to the ground...so extra weight is not always a bad thing, as it helps improve the power going to the ground at lower speeds, while the aerodynamics will take over at higher speed, with front spoilers, rear spoiler and wings, as well as those holes u see in the sides of some cars such as the xj220 that help cause the venturi effect (where the air is channeled a specific way so as to help push the body down helping to eliminate lift) providing extra downforce on the car at higher speeds allowing power to go to the ground and ensuring the car stays on the ground...these are all important factors in determining a cars top speed...id say gearing, but i know less about that than physics...so ill leave it there... ,

    THIS CAR WAS GREAT ON NEED FOR SPEED 2. THIS IS MORE EXOTIC THAN ANY THING I HAVE SEEN! MAYBE THE MOST EXOTIC AND RARE OUT OF ANY SUPERCAR IN THE WORLD! THIS VS THE ZONDAC12 VS SALEEN S7 VS VECTOR M12 VS MOSLER! THAT WOULD BE A GOOD RACE BUT IN THE END I WOULD TAKE THIS OVER THE OTHER CARS
     
  14. right, lets set some things straight, because i am never wrong. ever.

    this car cannot achieve 212mph if it only puts out 400bhp. infact, i cannot think of any car with 'only' 400bhp that can reach this speed.

    its 0-60 on this site is also out a bit, it can hit 60 in about 4.2ish if the clutch is dumped at around 2000rpm to minimise wheelspin.

    top speed; the 4 main factors affecting top speed are:

    1.power (408bhp)
    2.drag cd (about 0.300)
    3.frontal area (c.20 square ft)
    4.gearing (top gear 0.78:1, final drive 3.62:1)

    also torque and weight play a role somewhat.

    from this the top speed is about 180mph, give or take a few mph depending on conditions.
