Jeff Gordon did some good driving last night at Daytona, check it out:
It's because he enunciates.
wow, thats an amazing catch
What a show off.
"I love how NASCAR just lets the drivers sort it out on track and the stewards don't interfere"
*Caution flag comes out a second after the contact, and they bunch the field up for a restart."
Jeff's a great driver but it sure looked to me like his splitter got down on the apron, lifting the front wheels off the ground transferring all the grip to the rear tires and straightening the car out. Still badass though.
Good catch, but why does the commentator need to quote to bloody radio transmission?
Meh. There have been far better saves then this. Look at the tires, the car did all the work. Watch other saves, you will see some crazy counter steer action.
??? saving like that on an oval with a 3500 lb stagger setup car at those speeds is practically impossible.
http://youtu.be/Ss1PtauFKes he's pretty good at not spinning
That's pretty damn good driving there.
I love how you have progressed with your degree to the point of actually making engineer comments rather than opinionated ones.
I also concur with what you said. Very impressive.
i assume he pitted after that as he had massive flat spots on his tyres no?

I don't think that could be topped.
The onboard shot is brilliant...the look on his face is of a man staring at death.
thats just pure luck though.
The drift king.
Id like to see him race in ALMS or Lemans once.
