Chevy Beretta?

  1. transmission are ok in them, but they arent the best, 5 speed would be a better choice
  2. My wife's last car was a '96 Beretta with the 3.1 and 4 speed auto. At 96k miles, the only thing that had gone wrong with it was the alternator at 70k (and the ceap ass rebuilt replacement that was installed by the independant repair shop she used failed pretty quickly, too, so an actual new GM unit was installed after that).

Other than that one thing, it was very reliable. it was pretty quick for what it was, and handled quite well. We would have used it for autocrossing when I met her, but the SVT Contour was better for that.
  3. There is a guy who autocrosses his corcica here too.
