    M5 0-60 in 4.8
    Cobra R 0-60 in 4.6

    The Mustang also has a better 1/4 mile. It's not a matter of which one one thinks is faster. It's obvious this one is.

    there both nice....the m3 with the m5 engine would beet this.....

    the M5 gose 0-60 in 4.6, plus i dont care if this is lighter, the M5 would desrtoy it on the track, manily becuse this thing nas no IRS.

    What a M5 would kill the MUSTANG im a ford person my self exept the handeling on the M5 is like no other V8 car in the world, thats what draws the line for me whats your veiw

    I would have to take the M5 if we r racing around a track, but if i was picking up the misses i would rather the Cobra R!!!

    No way i would take this over an M5. It kicks the M5's ass in just about everything.

    try 5.1 for the M5, I've NEVER seen a time quicker than that.

    Autocar (weekly UK rag) got 4.8 out of an M5 E39.

    Weird comparison. I doubt anyone after a fast Ford would consider the BMW as an alternative, and vice versa.

    This would own the M5 of the strip, and still beat it on the track. Think about it, this car was BUILT to dominate on the track. I bet this could give even the Z06 a run for its money, not necessarily beat it, but still give it a run for its money.

    yeah, pretty stupid indeed. The Cobra R is a BORN race-car where as the M5 is just any old beemer with a "better" engine and "stiffer" suspension.
