  1. and craves passion
  2. *attention
  3. Corvettes are like Buicks, especially the Z06, when it comes to attention.
  4. now if you were to check American Car mags (assumming Sport Auto isn't), you would see that the Corvette is capable of 0-60 mph well into the 3's, 0-100 mph into the 7's and high 11 quartermile with a trap speed of 120 mph or better.
  5. what is amazing is that the F430 is geared significantly shorter then the Z06 yet the Z06 runs with it. Torque = the win.
  6. ^^ As expected. But don't treat me stupid, i know lots about the Z06 and am the first one to defend it. In terms of straight line speed the Z06 blitzes the F430, as was seen in Sport Auto's test, but the in-time flexibilty was much less potent.

    Sport Auto figures:

    0-100 km/h: 4.0
    0-160 km/h: 8.4
    0-200 km/h: 12.7

    C6 Z06-

    0-100 km/h: 4.0
    0-160 km/h: 7.9
    0-200 km/h: 12.0

The figures recorded for the Z06 are among some of the fastet times the magazine recorded and certaintly faster than the F430. On the Hockenheim the Corvette achieved 1:11.5 compared to the F430 which achieved 1:12.7. The Z06 also achieved the slalom faster, so in all of those respects the Z06 is much faster than the F430. However i'm talking about in-time accleration figures (which is how the race takes place)

Here's what i'm talking about and this is why this race surprised me. And at the risk of somebody saying it may have been a bad day for the Z06, it wasn't, that's just how it's geared. Auto Motor Und Sport achieved a near identical straight line performance and near identical in-time acceleration. I really couldn't give a shit though, i'd rather have the Z06 over a 997 Carrera S or even a F430.

    80-100 km/h: 4th Gear / 5th Gear / 6th Gear

    F430: 1.6 / 2.4 / 3.9
    Z06: 2.2 / 2.8 / 5.4

    80-120 km/h: 4th Gear / 5th Gear / 6th Gear

    F430: 3.1 / 4.6 / 7.6
    Z06: 4.1 / 5.9 / 10.6

    80-140 km/h: 4th Gear / 5th Gear / 6th Gear

    F430: 4.7 / 6.6 / 7.6
    Z06: 6.2 / 9.2 / 16.3

    80-160 km/h: 4th Gear / 5th Gear

    F430: 6.7 / 8.6 /
    Z06: 7.9 / 12.2

    80-160 km/h: 4th Gear / 5th Gear

    F430: 8.5 / 10.8
    Z06: 10.0 / 15.7
  7. Exactly my point - Read above
  8. it depends whose attention your after. Alot of people coulldnt tell one low, wide, modern car from the next as far as appearance goes.

The Z06 actually looks just as sleek and fast rolling down the street as an F430. They both look very fast and awesome.

No one can tell me that driving either of the 2 cars below wouldnt turn heads everywhere around.
  9. The last statement is so true.

For me though, the F430 doesn't catch my eye on the road as much as a Z06, no BS.
  10. According to the Quattroruote test, the Z06 should have been staring at F430 tail lights, as the Ferrari was soundly quicker by nearly 3 seconds in the 50-250 sprint.

And Corvettes don't attract attention like Buicks, not even in America.
  11. Make mine LeMans Blue with those wheels please. Wow.
  12. damn, awesome!
  13. ignorance is bliss
  14. *Retardation.
  15. this thread is full of retarded fanboys
  16. That was my point. The new Z06 catches everyone's attention with its low wide stance and the big exhausts/fenders. Dumbass Dragstrip made it look like Ferrari buyers only do it for attention.

Edit- Is that Z06 in Orlando? there's a black one with black wheels around here and it's so #$%#ing hot.
  17. You know as well as I that 99% Ferrari owners buy their cars so they can brag "I drive a Ferrari!" Ferrari lacks passion.
  18. you cant understand passion

I know what you're trying to do. It's not gonna work with me. you will find people just as passionate if not more than people in Corvette forums.
