I agree. It's one of the best looking cars ever. Just gorgeous.

  2. Re: Could this car get any more beautiful?

Don't think it could get much more beautiful, but I think it could go down. I personally don't care for the new (2004) S2000. They ruined the mystique when they lost the "highest reving [car] engine in the world" award. They flashed up the ext, made the already big grille bigger, flashed up the interior (where a race-inspired sparce cockpit was in the prev. model), and softened up the springs in the rear. I like none of the modifications. I realize some of these things were done to cater to the average person/buyer, but that was what was so special about the original - it didn't cater to anyone but hardcore enthusiasts. They dumbed the new one down, in my opinion, even if the roll-out times are better.

  3. Re: Could this car get any more beautiful?

yes theres a lot of room for improvent in this car, bolth in looks and power.

    But thats just my opinion..........

  4. Re: Could this car get any more beautiful?

Well, that may all be true, but it is faster and does handle better (I once thought otherwise for handling since the Porsche is MR, but then I found out the S2000 has 50/50 weight distribution) than the Boxster, so as long as you don't go around complaining about how the Boxster has more power.....

I will give the Boxster this though - it does look better.

  5. Re: Could this car get any more beautiful?

Hate to tell you, but the S2000 is front mid-engine, thus explaining the 51/49 distr. (pulling that number from top of my head, so don't flame me if I'm wrong, please...)

My dislike for the [new] car is a purely personal level. I think that it's better for the average driver, but I think they took huge steps back in both mechanical and visual beauty. The only thing going for it (for me) is its better stability in high-speed corners, due to the softening up of the rear end. Why, oh why, did they have to lower the redline (I know why...but, WHY???)

  6. Re: Could this car get any more beautiful?

    Why would I flame you?

Anyway, it's 50/50, I've only seen 51/49 from one source (can't remember what it was - possibly Road & Track?), and that was likely because something was removed to reduce weight (such as the spare tire?), or there was something non-stationary in the car that added weight to the front.

I know, it's not as much of an enthusiasts car now, more of a pedestrian friendly car (by pedestrian driver, I mean those who are not big on advanced driving techniques).

  10. Re: Could this car get any more beautiful?

It looks pretty decent. But I was just wondering, I was recently on the car and driver website and it said that that the Neon SRT-4 is quicker than both the S200 and 350Z. Now I don't know if that's true or not that's why I'm asking. So if anyone can fill me in on whether that is accurate or not I would appreciate it.

  11. Re: Could this car get any more beautiful?

Hmm, on the straight, these cars are actually very close, all of them get to 60mph in around 5.5 sec, and cover the 1/4 in 14 sec. But in terms of handling, the SRT-4 will lose for sure.

  12. Re: Could this car get any more beautiful?

I actually like the exterior look of the new car. Specifically the grille, I looks even more like a shark, the new grille looks like it has fangs. But I only sat in the old 2 litre one so I don’t know about the new mechanics and interior of the new one. Yes it is better looking than the Boxter. But I think this car would look really nice if Honda added some hot air outlets like the current M3s have on the sides of the front quarter panel. Also I like integrated fog lights, there should be a stock front fender that has them, but keeping the fang grille.

  13. Re: Could this car get any more beautiful?

Also I think it would look sharper with wider fender wells.

  14. Re: Could this car get any more beautiful?

I guess we won't see those things in the future, since Honda's likely not to produce the S2000 anymore.

  15. Re: Could this car get any more beautiful?

    Why is that?

  16. Re: Could this car get any more beautiful?

Because the S2000 is made to celebrate Honda's 50th anniversary.

  17. Re: Could this car get any more beautiful?

Yes, this car could be alot better looking if they redesigned the interior, but thats just my opinion.

  18. Re: Could this car get any more beautiful?

I agree it could look somewhat better with a new interior and a few other small things, but this is definatly my favorite car on this website.. favorite affordable car anyway.

  19. An 04+ s2k is not a real s2k.

But yes they can get more beautiful. first thing that goes? the orange side & front turn
    signals!
