Re: DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAM! Or buy the AIV Roadster, same engine and output, 300kg lighter, I think it looks better, it's cheaper, and well thats pretty much it. Top speed of 140mph opposed to 155 of the Esperante but that can be fixed!
Re: DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAM! i know from an article in advanced materials & processes that the frame is extruded aluminum and is glued togather at the joints. glued you say? the structural epoxy used acually makes a stronger joint than a weld, with much less effort, and its easier to screw up a weld. the joint is even stronger than the aluminum itself...
Re: DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAM! I don't think I could ever bring myself to put down 80 g's for a Ford engine. just can't do it, Porsches are too beautiful.<!-- Signature -->
Re: DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAM! If I had $80 to $90 grand to spend on a car I think I would be stuck between a Panoz Esperante, a nice used Ferrari (you can get a perfect 348 or 512BB for that price) a TVR, Lotus Esprit V8 Turbo, or a new Dodge Viper. Porsches are wonderful but are more common than the others. I like rare cars.
