Does pagani need another new model (V8 or V10)

  1. i agree, but from a marketing stand point, they have the power to make a car that out performs and outlooks an f430 in my opinion. i think it would ruin their reputation, but man, people would go nuts over it, and i would too

  2. I dont really know but they can't go on an keep improving the Zonda

  3. they should stay in their top level amrket segment and not compete against Ferrari, Porsche, Lamborghini ....

  4. ... they also dont have the financial background to do so.

  5. They don´t need it. They are doing well as a company with the Zonda.

Bad idea I think. Far too much competition in that segment. 430, Gallardo, 911T etc. The clients might be price sensitive here and Pagani can´t compete on price due to the lack of mass production facilities.
    It could kill Pagani

  6. if they did make a smaller car however, i reckon they should give it an in-house designed V8, and make it scream like the AMG V12 in the Zonda F

  7. Why not just a smaller V12 <A BORDER="0" HREF="http://www.supercars.net/PitLane?displayFAQ=y"><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="pitlane/emoticons/smile.gif"></A>

  8. Homero said they had plans to use the AMG supercharged V8 if they made a smaller car. And they would twitch it to produce more power

  9. a 1.2 litre V12 <A BORDER="0" HREF="http://www.supercars.net/PitLane?displayFAQ=y"><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="pitlane/emoticons/tongue.gif"></A>

nah i think them making a V12 for something F430 sized would just start a stupid pissing contest

  10. BARF BARF BARF BARF NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

that would be horrible. that engine is so whored out, it's unbelievable how many cars it's in. also, supercharged? booo NA is the way to go with pagani

  11. I don't think a weaker model would be a wise move for Pagani

  12. Why?

  13. Now they would probably use the new 6.2l NA V8.

  14. Definitely not. Pagani is about exoticness and exclusivity, it should concentrate only in top-of-range hypercars like the Zonda. Leave mass production for the others.

  15. ofcourse they'd make one sooner or later, but they can't now

  16. they need an even faster car than the zonda, not a slower one.

  17. i think no, but i think too that they will!

  18. I think its better that they keep a distance from Ferrari, Porsche and Lamborghini. I'd rather see the resources to do another production line go to their current car and thats exactly whats happening now. The Zonda F is a genuine masterpiece in a traditional italian way. Something thats missing from Ferrari and Lambo.

The only real competitor I see to Pagani is Spyker, and look at what they've done to their attempt at a brand new car. (that 4wd concept) Cars like the F430/911 Turbo/Gallardo are much more price sensitive than Pagani's usual markets. And this is a company used to producing quality cars at all costs.

So no, I dont think they should make a smaller car.

  19. Because AT it's current stage I don't belieev they can compeet with established names such as Porsche Lambo and Ferrari in those markets. Right now what they have going for them is their exclusiveness and for now at least they should keep it like that.

  20. If Pagani were every to make something next to a supercar, i think it should be a luxurious 4-seater; and more specifically a car like the Bugatti EB112. That car was so extremely beautiful (especially for a saloon) that I still think someone ought to make a similar type of vehicle...

  21. I dont think Pagani should gun for "more mainstream luxury brands" at all. Ferrari makes 4000 cars annually, Porsche, 10,000. Pagani makes what, 30 cars a year? By hand?

They will probably have to start from the zonda and tear it down to match a price point around 100 to 150 grand and during that process, it'll probably have to give up alot of things that make pagani a pagani, those cf bodies, glass roof, and most importantly, exclusivity. They barely made 100 or so zondas since the company launched in 1998. Thats even more exclusive than a Ferrari Enzo even if its cheaper.

Pagani is abit different from the "more mainstream luxury brands" I mentioned above including Porsche, Ferrari and Lamborghini, cuz they make cars that simply cant be mass produced. And its Italian in a classic sense. If Da Vinci made a car, this would be it. Its different in the way Morgan, Spyker and Bugatti are. U simply cant mass produce these things and thats precisely where it gains its advantage.

  22. I think it would be nice if they had a mini car for me to blow my load over ...so yes ..just make it more exclusive than an f430 and perform better than a 997 tt and have a better interior than an Aston

  23. nah, leave the Zonda alone in its magnificence

  24. they've made and delivered something like 68 cars in total
