Like the metal rings that hold the hood down!

  2. Re: Duffman wants to know...

I dont see any little rings that hold down the hood.... I see a couple of rings on the front of the car that help in controling the adjustable front spoiler... maybe that is what ya see?

  3. Re: Duffman wants to know...

im in but it wont beat the hennessey! <IMG SRC="http://www.supercarforums.com/servlets/cMsg/html/emoticons/smile.gif">

  4. Duffman wants to know why Dodge teases us with this really great
concept. Its my favorite Viper next to the Hennessey Venom 800 TT.
The competition coupe is not enough. I want this to be the next
GTS/R! Whos with me on this one?<!-- Signature -->

  5. Re: Duffman wants to know...

count me in. think of the price tag though. in Australia that would be about $300,000 +.

  6. Re: Duffman wants to know...

Its the best looking viper, and probably second in performance.

I see the spoiler pins, but no hood pins, because VIPER HAS reverse good, opening from the window up.

    Duh

    Just joking.

  7. Re: Duffman wants to know...

There is no doubt about it, this car is the best. Dodge has really outdone itself with this one. They build it, I dont care if i am a hobo I will find a way to get one.

  8. Re: Duffman wants to know...

I have to agree, this is one fine looking car. I have always been a viper fan, but Dodge rally pulled something great out of their brains. Only a little bit disappointed by the horsepower. Couldn't it be a little bit more...? But the looks of that car, well, you know...

  9. Re: Duffman wants to know...

its cool, not as powerful as the Hennessy Venom 800.

  10. Re: Duffman wants to know...

i agree with everyone about the Hennesey venom 800, but this car is just freakin sweet. i've been a viper freak as long as i can remember, and this is a great change from the old, rarely-changed appearance of the viper. The styling, the power, hell even the name, they all point to one thing--supercar. I mean i know the Pagani Zonda C12-S is more powerful, but Pagani, Dodge=Apples, Oranges. Say it with me people--it just rolls of the tongue with a sweetness only sugar dares challenge...viper....viperrrr....purr it like a cat....viperrrrrrrrrrr...what a car. I demand dodge remove the "CONCEPT" part of its name, and when they do i'll be in line for one.<!-- Signature -->

this s the sickest viper, i say screw the venom. i read the article in mototrend and it liquified the wheels(melted). so ill definitly stick with this.

This thing is the Satan of supercars. Gotta love the rear design and the manic evil look from the front. 500hp is good... any more and they'd need to find an alternative fuel source or something... this thing is a gas vampire no doubt... and man... if this was the actual thing going into production and they were keeping the standard 10 speaker stereo, I'd definitely buy it if I had that kind of money...<!-- Signature -->

  13. Re: Duffman wants to know...

Well...I think that's a really good car.Great aerodynamics, great shape and excellent machine.I think that would be a waste of money bying a viper....8.0L V10....and in this case 500hp?I don;t say it's not fast...But modifying my supra 3.0L i can surely beat that guy....<!-- Signature -->

  14. Re: Duffman wants to know...

    yeah
Dodge made a smart move when making this one...
they went wider, lower and longer... and more powerful...

deffinitely the best snake ever!<!-- Signature -->

  15. Re: Duffman wants to know...

I think both the older Vipers and the new Vipers look cool. Too bad we can't have them both. :(<!-- Signature -->

  16. Re: Duffman wants to know...

Myeah, you can't have it all man...

    keep the faith

  17. Re: Duffman wants to know...

Well, this is my first reply, but I definitly agree with the title "most gorgeous Viper ever...". Only one thing I have to add: it's a pity that all american cars need such big engines to develop a massive amount of bhp. We europeans (especially italians) build powerful engines with the same bhp using half the displacement you guys use! Imagine how many horses an italian super car manufacturer could squeeze out of a 8 liter engine!! Never the less, Viper rules!!

  18. none

I definitly think that this is one of the best looking cars in the world by 500+bhp common!!! we need more power its a v10 for gods sake maybe 650+bhp would be nice

  19. Re: Duffman wants to know...

  23. Re: Duffman wants to know...

    This viper is bad ass

  24. Re: Duffman wants to know...

Well we could always hire the guys who did the engine for the S2000 and stick their know how on this puppy. Then we'd have power beyond all immagination...<!-- Signature -->

What are you talking about? Dodge had 100hp/L engines back in the 80's. They stopped doing that because it was just too costly to build/maintain/repair. It's much easier to make a larger displacement engine (which still has potential to make 100 hp/L for the crazy tuners out there) that revs low and is more reliable than something that needs to work in high revs to create any power at all. What does it matter that you build an engine that's of smaller displacement and creates the same bhp? You can just tune the larger displacement engine to create more power.
