Re: Everyone: post your 1st car and any mods

Quote from TAWS7 My First Car was and still is A 1998 Trans Am WS7... NOW FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO DONT KNOW WHAT A WS7 IS... It is a Trans Am WS6 with something extra... WS6 is a factor code for the RAM AIR hood. The Factory RAM AIR, doesnt get its air from the scoop, it gets it from under. So we had it fixed where the airs enters from both under and threw the hood. And it is now a WS7. The TA was a gift from my dad, when he gave it to me and he got a Ford Harley Davidson Truck... I think it was stupid for him to get the truck, but i am grateful for getting the TA... It was all stock (with the exception of the hood, which he had done) when he gave it to me. and still pretty much is, with the exception of the Supercharger, and the 100 Shot of NOS. It took forever to get enough money to add those 2 things something like a year and a half (im not a good money manager). Oh yeah and i bought a power programmer to add just a little bit more HP. Right now im saving up for when the New Camaros go back on the market. And when i get one, i will put the WS7 in storage for a rainy day.

Thats stoopid though its made up and not real why call the car sumthing thats not real just because you change the way the air reaches the ram air box. You dont have anything specail infact does that effect the cars performace at all? So im still sticking with there is no such thing as a WS7 - Trans AM thats like saying i have a 71 boss 302 mustang when they didnt put boss 302 engines in 71's. You putting the 302 in it doesnt mean anything.... So until Pontiac deams that an actual Trans Am im saying its retarded
Re: Everyone: post your 1st car and any mods My first car was an 81 Firebird i droped a 301 in it and put air shocks on it before i sold it for my 91 firebird which i traded in a year later for my 94 Trans AM
Re: Everyone: post your 1st car and any mods working towards that 1000 post, right?
Re: Everyone: post your 1st car and any mods My first car was a 1970 corvette LT-1 T-top white with red interior
Re: Everyone: post your 1st car and any mods well i had a good ol 1995 dodge neon, it looked pretty sweet wit all the body work i did, so it looked fast...but wit the 130 hp engine...it sure as hell isnt fast. (hey, i cant afford it, so what can ya do)
Re: Everyone: post your 1st car and any mods My first car is my dad's '99 Jeep Wrangler Sahara. Black body with tan hard/soft tops. No mods.
Re: Everyone: post your 1st car and any mods My first car was a 1991 Ford Escort Gt. I loved that car. Small fun to drive and had resonable amount of power. I love manual transmissions. You know what killed it? A woman. What's the lesson. When a woman is waiting at an intersection facing you at night ( you are in visible sight with headlights on coming down on her driving on a mile straightaway ) and she is ready to turn across your lane don't give her the benefit of the doubt. They could turn, possibly will turn, and it will be at some incredibly stupid moment say; when you are going 55 and they are about 20 feet in front of you. I wish they would pay attention...... Got my SHO now. It's sweet.
Re: Everyone: post your 1st car and any mods My first car was a used 1993 pontiac Grand Prix SE. I traded it off last year for a 2001 Mineral Grey Mustang GT. As of now, my GT is stock but that will enventually change.
Re: Everyone: post your 1st car and any mods My very first car was a 1982 Camaro Z28 5-speed with T-tops. I changed the front-end, the front and side skirts, the door skirts, the rear skirts, the hood, and the rear lights to make it look like a 92. I dropped in a 350 bored over to 383, and put on a 9 inch high aluminum tunnel-ram intake manifold with twin 500 cfm 4bbl's. I put 16" Cragar's on the rear and 15"'s on the front. 4" exhaust with a CVX low-restriction muffler and no catalytic. The tranny ended up not being able to handle it and blew up after a few years, so we installed the 6-speed out of a wrecked 4th gen Z-28 we found in a scrap yard. What a fun car. I really wish i hadn't sold it.

Re: Everyone: post your 1st car and any mods my first car, the one i have now is a 98 mustang v6, i am savin money to put some turbos on it and i want to find one of these R engines, thats a dream, and put a wing and some other stuff on it. Any help on where i can get parts, or what parts are good would be appreciated. E-mail me at [email protected] thanks.
Re: Everyone: post your 1st car and any mods My first car was my mom's Explorer, which was good for hauling my drums and stuff, but sucked as a cruising car. When I went off to college, my dad and me split the cost of my T/A. I'm still gonna pay him back for his half and then it'll be ALL mine. As some of you know, I already modded it up quite a bit, w/ stuff like that SLP cylinder head/ camshaft thing and the K&N and stuff (by the way, the only way I can go to college AND buy a $2,500 car mod is because of a scolarship and some old stock I've had since I was a kid). It's a sweet car, and the only thing I'd sell it for is something like a BOSS 429, or a 69 SS Camaro, or something like that. But those are probably worth more than my T/A anyways.

It came from a guy who worked in a machine shop. I think if you bore it and stroke it you can get your 350 up to 406. I don't trust the stroker kits though. Does it come with replacement connecting rods? I heard that if you keep the stock rods, the angle of the new crankshaft puts stress on them and you end up throwing a rod clear through your head.
Re: Everyone: post your 1st car and any mods MY first car was and is a 4-speed Auto 1990 BMW 320i no mods yet but im saving up to change the transmission then atach a turbo kit and maybe if i not bored with it tune it some more
Re: Everyone: post your 1st car and any mods unforitionatly my first car was a 1985 oldsmobile custom cruiser and i didn't put any mods on it because what the hell is the point lol.
Re: Everyone: post your 1st car and any mods My first car was a 1990 dodge shadow. It was incredibly slow, and no fun to drive. I didn't do any mods to it..just a cd player and speakers. now i drive a 1997 neon. not real fast either, but it has a 5 speed in it, which makes it kinda quick and real fun to drive. I'll have a couple mods on it in a few weeks, i got a body kit and a wing, and i got projector headlights on the way. I'm mostly doing stuff to make it look better now, but i'll do some more performance modifications later down the road. and don't make fun of me cause i'm modifing a neon, i know i can't race anyone with it, so don't think i'm some cocky kid who thinks he has a fast car but really doesn't
Re: Everyone: post your 1st car and any mods I am just now at the point where I am looking for a first car. Actually, I just started drivers ed. I still have until next May before I actually get to buy a car so I am planning on saving up. Unfortantley i have to buy my first car but i have saved up about 1500 dollars. What would you guys recommend? I could probably buy something that is 10000. My brother just bought his first car and I think he did a DUMB mistake. he bought a 2002 sunfire.. God they are slow and plus it was 14000 because it was new. I just want a fast car around 10,000 or below.
Re: Everyone: post your 1st car and any mods Get a fox mustang. '87-'92 5.0, they're cheap and very easy to mod. Or get my rival car a firebird/camaro, but don't know much about them.
Re: Everyone: post your 1st car and any mods mustangs are great.. but im not a big fan of that era of mustangs. i could afford like 220 a month for a car after i turn 16.(not including insurance)
Re: Everyone: post your 1st car and any mods My first car was a black 1989 Ford Mustang LX 5.0L 5-speed. The guy that owned it was really dumb. When it worked right it was way fast and was stock. Downside was imagine giving a car like that to a girl for several years and see what happens, thats what it was like. Overheated all the time cause he had gunk in the radiator, interior had things missing, paint sucked cause I dont think it was ever washed, he had some alarm that he half-assed un installed and shorted out on me. Traded it in for my current, 1993 Mustang GT. Just as fast, and fun, only looked almost new, and really clean, w/ a radiator. Everything that was wrong with the last one was better, and then some. Say what you will about fox stangs, or Ford for that matter, but these are good, quick, dependable vehicals that are relativley cheap and easy to mod. Only time I find myself under the hood anymore is to make it go faster or to keep the hoses shiny Thats my story and I'm stickin' to it.
Re: Everyone: post your 1st car and any mods So the older mustangs are good too? I just want something fast. they are fast right?
Re: Everyone: post your 1st car and any mods They are fast low 14s stock, good luck finding a stock one ...They are very easy to mod and parts are cheap. For fast speed, I always recommend getting a 5.0
Re: Everyone: post your 1st car and any mods My first car is a 67 T bird. Thats alotta car. No mods...yet. Got to fix the vaccuum system and replace the drivers seat cover.
