Exclusive Lamborghini to debut at Frankfurt '07

Discussion in 'European Cars' started by menoy36, Aug 14, 2007.

  1. one off is a special edition of a car is it not? Its still Enzo based.
Its notl ike the #$%#ing nomenclature makes the car any different. Stop being so anal about the circumstances it was built in. Jesus its like you guys think only certain kinds of cars have the right to exist.
  2. The main problem is how Lambo is treating their enthousiasts customers.

By selling them a rebodied LP 640 for 300% more .Without adding any real value to the car other than exclusivity .

I wouldnt have any problem with the Reventon if they sold it for say , $50k more.
  3. I agree on the price issue its #$%#ing retarded. but the car itself is amazing. If it cost about 800 grand nobody would bat an eye because its at least that special but 1.5 million is pushing it. But my issue is with people who think the Lambo is somehow a joke of a car because of the circumstance it was built in. I do think Lambo is a bit nuts for the pricing but then again so is Ascari.
  4. So, lets compare one of George Barris's hot rods to a Plymouth Prowler. FFS, you stop being so dense, one is a coachbuilt car built by a design house using a Ferrari as a base and the other is a "Limited Edition"/"Short Run" car built AND designed by Lamborghini.

You don't see the diference? are you an autist?
  5. of course I see the difference you dirty south american.

p.s. throw homero off a bridge kthxbye.

0-100 KPH and top speed P 4/5 is the fastest road legal Ferrari in existance but you're correct that that's not the point or the reason it was made and you're also correct that my neighbors "Time Attack" Evo would blow it into the weeds but that not the point either.

As the reaction that this car has gotten from many including those that like Lambo's I think it's fair to say that for it's additional cost many feel it should have additional performance.

Fast Lane Daily's Emil's reaction IMO is very interesting and unlike us he saw the car in the Carbon. (Video on Fast lane Daily)

"Finally, I come to the Reventon. Keep in mind that everything you are about to read comes from a Lamborghini fan. I've owned 2 Gallardos that I give very high praise to. Some of the best cars I've ever owned, and most fun. I'd love to some day own an LP640 Roadster. I think that Luc Donckerwolke, former head of design for Lamborghini who penned the Murcielago and Gallardo, is a genius. But he's at Seat now, obviously, because the Reventon is an abortion. Seriously, this thing is the ugliest, biggest scam in the automotive industry. There's no redeeming value in it's presence. It was clearly created as a stop-gap for any real evolution in the product line, and a device to extract money from the ignorant. It's literally a Murcielago with a body kit. An ugly body kit. That looks like it was designed by HR Giger's blind, retarted, third cousin who puked in to a fountain pen and mailed it to the monkey house at the Bronx zoo. (I like HR Giger's work, by the way - http://www.hrgiger.com ) There's nothing special about the car. In any way, shape, or form. Anyone who buys one is a pawn of Volkswagen. And, it is my belief that Stephan Winkelmann will some day be tried in Italy for crimes against humanity. For the cost of a Reventon, you could get so many better and more special cars including:

    - Ferrari Enzo (in black)
    - Maserati MC12 (With NHTSA/Federalization from Classic Coach)
    - Pagani Zonda LM
    - 2 Koenisegg CCX's
    - 40 Evos covered in gold leaf...

    You get the idea."
  7. OK Rainman.
  8. Lambo is not treating anyone badly. The customers saw the mock up before they signed up for the car. No one made them buy it - decision was out of free will.

  11. Obviously they are not treating them badly , but i wouldnt feel very appreciated as a customer if lambo offered me a slot for the Reventon.

We have this wonderful new Lambo , it will be very limited blablabla ..It will cost $1M and then you see this ..

I would walk away laughing and go buy a Veyron. That says a lot.
  12. OK, I'll agree with you on that <A BORDER="0" HREF="http://www.supercars.net/PitLane?displayFAQ=y"><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="pitlane/emoticons/wink.gif"></A>

Actually, This is the caR Id buy if I was rich.

Its WAY expensive, but Id buy it without a second thought. I guess value is very subjective.
Its similar to....you know, how some people think the Ps3 is worth the money and others think its a #$%#ing joke for the price. Its all relative to how much you enjoy it.

I think the funniest thing about the caR I posted is that it isnt angular like I usually prefer but this particular design is so appealing.
  14. Hmm... here's smth interesting - Lamborghini at it already? 0/20... so 21 altogether?
  15. Sorry man, unfortunately I'm not the one who pieced that together <A BORDER="0" HREF="http://www.supercars.net/PitLane?displayFAQ=y"><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="pitlane/emoticons/sad.gif"></A> If I have time and super-confidence I'll give it a try later on <A BORDER="0" HREF="http://www.supercars.net/PitLane?displayFAQ=y"><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="pitlane/emoticons/smile.gif"></A>

    Here are a few 1600 x 1200 desktops that are from me though, I thought I'd share <A BORDER="0" HREF="http://www.supercars.net/PitLane?displayFAQ=y"><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="pitlane/emoticons/PnutSpecial.gif"></A>

Hey JMG I nearly came to tears when I read this.

I BEGGED & PLEADED with them about this for nearly 2 months. They were all asking me to be banned for telling the truth.

My God, why can't they see this car for what it really is. A publicity stunt.
  17. Rocka & Lambormina.

I'm NOT trying to flame you guys. But really is this original & ground breaking? Please be honest.
  18. at least we held out our criticizms for when it actually came out. IMO I don't like this car for many of the same reasons why I don't like the Enzo.
  19. yeah just like the 430 and the 156.
  20. I'll give it to you - that's pretty funny.
  21. I was being critical because I actually spoke with people who saw the car & knew what was coming. And because of past cars Lamborghini has made with little change.

Not flaming but they've done this before with the countless number of Diablos they produced with different names & paint schemes. The only difference with this car is the head lights are cut different, they've sharpened the bumper & they went back & redisgned the rear of a Countach & put it on this car.

  23. again you can't base your decisions as a human being on the opinions of others. maybe they're as conceded as you when it comes to Lamborghini. maybe if the car was better than anything Ferrari has ever made they'd say the same thing. you just need to use more commen sence.
  25. should I be posting pics of the F430 and Enzo rear again? or the F50 and F40 rear?

this car is defintely ground breaking in terms of design. sure its not the fastest thing, but serisouly, who gives a shit if your 1 second slower to 200-something km/h than an Enzo? id wager that Ferrari will be going to the whole "edgy" theme with their designs too.

its funny how there about about 20 pics of this car out and people are COMPLETLY made up about it.
