PC2: Guess the fastest lap of the race. In both cases, the top 8 closest guesses will get points (10,8,6,5,4,3,2,1) Good luck!
Thats certainly one advantage for me compared to what it was like 10 years ago: there's a lot more races around my timezone. Only problem is: all but one of those tracks in Asia are Tilkedromes that I'm not that bothered to watch races on anyway.
Sorry blokes I meant to come back with a PC last night... Since it's a new track, guess the total race time could be difficult. PC1 - Total Race Length (Time, not km/miles) PC2 - Fastest Lap (during race) You can decide points pal xx
don't discount a track just cos it was designed by hermann tilke, there are many more factors that can generate good racing
Yeah, well ten years ago the races were not shown live. Danoz Direct and the Late Sunday Night movie took priority. I've gotten used to the 10pm start time for races since they've been live here. I can sit back and have several whiskies while I watch.
I simply haven't seen enough evidence to say that he can make an exciting track! Its hard to believe, but next year 9 out of 20 races will be on circuits totally designed by Herman Tilke, as well as a few other circuits which have been redesigned by Tilke (such as Hockenheim) and subsequently ruined (compared to their former glory). I actually find it obscene how much influence this one guy has had on the calendar, considering his performance (as far as TV fans are considered) has been appalling. I don't even bother buying F1 video games anymore because I just don't enjoy racing on half of the circuits. Jackie Stewart made a great point a while back... he talked about his top 5 favourite golf courses in the world and how amazing they are... and noted that they were all designed by different people. Such should be the case with F1 circuits. You can say what you want about Tilke's circuits, but they all have a very similar character to them, very similar sequences of corners and straights, very similar visual appearance, and none of them have been able to consistently produce exciting races - in fact exciting races are often a rarity.

yeah yeah youre just parroting what millions of f1 fans say and yes, most of them are dull, but you can't just see his name and write a track off immediately
what a mug Hamilton, Perez handed grid penalties for Indian Grand Prix NEW DELHI: Lewis Hamilton fell foul of the Formula One stewards once again on Friday when he was handed a three-place penalty on the starting grid for the inaugural Indian Grand Prix after ignoring yellow warning flags in first practice. The McLaren driver had set the fastest lap, in the final seconds, in the first ever session run at the Buddh International circuit. Sauber's Mexican Sergio Perez was also handed a similar sanction after stewards ruled he had committed the same offence of ignoring double waved yellow flags at turn 16 while a car was being recovered by marshals in close proximity to the track. The sanction ended Hamilton's hopes of a second successive pole position on Saturday after qualifying fastest in the last race in South Korea. It also boosted Red Bull's chances of setting a Formula One record of 16 poles in a single season. The champions have already chalked up 15. Hamilton has made regular appearances in front of the stewards this season after a series of crashes and controversies. One of the four stewards for Sunday's Grand Prix is Hamilton's fellow-Briton and former racer Johnny Herbert. http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/sports/racing/indian-gp/Hamilton-Perez-handed-grid-penalties-for-Indian-Grand-Prix/articleshow/10517912.cms
Lets put it this way. If you had seen a really shitty movie, noted the director, and were then forced to see more and more of his movies which were pretty much just as shit (lets say you were forced to go and watch them by your gf or whatever)... you would naturally be pretty skeptical and pretty hesitant to go and watch that director's next movie when it comes out. Or if Creed or Nickelback just released a new album. Do you think any right-minded person is going to be expecting great things of it? Of course not, because everything they've ever done is dogshit, so you have no reason to expect their next effort wont be more of the same.
