2 fast 2 furious (bye bye)

Paul Walker -- best known for his role in "The Fast and the Furious" movies -- died Saturday afternoon after a single-car accident and explosion in Southern California ... TMZ has learned.

The accident happened in Santa Clarita -- north of Los Angeles -- and according to multiple sources connected to Paul ... the actor was in a Porsche when the driver somehow lost control and slammed into a post or a tree ... and then the car burst into flames.

Several of our sources -- some who are still at the scene of the accident -- tell us Paul and another person in the car were killed. Law enforcement is still on the scene, and we're told the L.A. County Coroner's Office is on the way.

  2. you know it's not good when the word "explosion" is used to describe a car crash.

  3. This makes me a bit sad.
I like the F&F series. They may not have been masterpieces but they were entertaining movies.
Same kinda thing goes for Paul Walker. Not the most talented actor in the world, but made some cool movies.

  4. Ironic he died in a car crash

  5. Only 40 years old. <A BORDER="0" HREF="http://www.supercars.net/PitLane?displayFAQ=y"><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="pitlane/emoticons/sad.gif"></A>

  6. That's too soon, junior.

  10. has filming finished for Fast 7?

  11. Im actually bothered by this. Seemed like a nice guy, on top of the world and did his share of charity work.

Pushing aside the urge to make f and f jokes, im kinda sad to see this I took a girl to f and f on my firstdate.

Kind of one of those things that make you feel old.

  12. Ive been reading a lot of dumbshit online like dudes drawing comparisons to ryan dunn, etc.

I hope the circumstances turn out to be different.

  13. Don't think so.
I thought they were doing it along side filming for 6.

  14. It looks like he was the passenger. His friend was showing the car off to him and lost control.

Well... the other dude in the car was Roger Rodas.

Whether Walker or Rodas were driving, they both have motorsport experience so they should be handle a street car no problem. Given how that CGT is pretty much split in half they must have been really gunning it.

  16. i've never seen a carbon body car look so bad after a crash

  17. Seems that Porsche is associated with tragic car accidents... Ryan Dunn, Paul Walker, VR Alexander (of course he wasn't an A list celeb, just well known to the car community).

    RIP Paul Walker

  18. The CGT is a notoriously difficult car to operate, no?

  19. JC even said 'you have to be awake to drive this car'

  20. Ryan Dunn would have died in any car. Seeing the videos and how littered the road was with debris, it seriously looks like theu were going stupid fast.

    James Dean?

Is it porsche specifically or the fact that they are popular sports cars?

Yah it does seem like the driver was very capable and pw probably had full trust in him.

Im not sure how much can be read into the car being split in half. Mid engined carbon tub cars are pretty mich designed to do that to reduce impact. The field of debris is pretty damning though.

Im under the impression cars only explode like that in really serious collisons. Maybe head on with that tree/post.

That one video shot immediately after the accident is bullshit. I couldnt watch it without out balling my hands into a fist at that the douche bag being super scared of he car exploding and like...dismissing the occupants as immediately dead.

I know thst given the scene its pretty reasonable to assume the worst but I really dislike that the any attempts at rescue were instantly dismissed. I think that train of thought is too selfish, we owe ot to everyone to at least attempt something. I wish to be the kind of person to at least take initiative and pull over and try to run to the car.

That video made mw super angry at people.

  22. RIP Porsche Carrera GT. And Paul Walker. I actually liked the movies, and the later ones were an improvement.

  23. He was alive when bush was president. Now he's dead. Thanks Obama

  24. The dutch agitator strikes again.

  25. he wasn't that great of an actor, but a great person.
    RIP to both of them.
