Malmsteen, or the guitarist from Pagans Mind, or the guitarist from Sonata Arctica, or Lost Horizon, Joe Satriani.
Not necessarily the best example, but an example. Ted Leo/Pharmascists - Counting Down the Hours http://download.yousendit.com/EBE695564794F91C And shredbots suck. If you're going to do a guitar solo, it better go with the song and have some "feeling" to it.
he was ahead of his time. that was then, this is now. whoever is doing the things now, that everyone else will be doing in the future, is better than Hendrix was then.
I knew someone would say that, just because I said Yngwie Malmsteen. There is plenty of feeling in it. I've seen him live and he was well into every song, and every solo. Oh and Prisoner of your Love was written about his mother who died of cancer, plenty of 'feeling'. In fact half his stuff is drawn from experiences or dedicated to his family. He was a pioneer on the guitar front.
This guy you posted is just a "bot" minus the shred. McLarenman, you're wrong also. This is the type of thread where everyone is wrong.
This was a 'Who is your favourite' thread, not who is the best. It just got turned into that in like, 6 posts.
How #$%#ing freaky. I'm listening to Crystal Ball by Malmsteen and you posted in this thread. STRONG WTF?!
