Maranello, 7th March 2007 - Ferrari Club Italia is twenty years old. This is the reason why the association has decided to celebrate its anniversary between 9-11 March in the place where it all began: Modena, and Maranello in particular. As can be imagined, this will be a very important date and not only for the life of the FCI but, above all, for those members who have created such a good feeling over the years. A unique and exclusive programme of events will make the day even more special. Participants will also be able to relive the fundamental landmarks in the life of the Prancing Horse's founder. Enzo Ferrari wanted a club to be formed and one was duly founded on 12 March 1987. This date was a significant one as it came 40 years after the construction of the Ferrari, the 125 S. The vehicle would soon be known the world over for its distinctive engine roar while the Prancing Horse symbol gave Italy, and motor-racing in general, a dream of a car. The event highlights include a series of vehicles on display in Modena's Piazza Grande and Piazza Roma (on Saturday 10 March from 11.00), a factory visit and the Trofeo FCI at the Fiorano circuit. The Ferrari Club Italia calendar is traditionally a full one, both on a national and an international level. As well as meets, members also have the chance to battle it out on the track in Ferrari Club Italia or Trofeo Ferrari Club Italia 'regularity' trials. Added to these are a number of special events, competitions and gala evenings dedicated to socialising and sharing the Prancing Horse passion.
