    who is this import guy....1st of all the S2000 handles well cuz of its small torque band and it doesnt out corner american cars...the corvette smokes that car in handling....and ur sayin american cars are not comparable to jap cars cuz we use big blocks...n japs are better cuz we can do the same with small engines...WITH THE HELP OF TURBO....now plz shut up thank you

    your an idiot. the only way to make a 4 banger move is with a turbo and NOS. until a honda can push over 700 hp without either one it ain't noting but a piece of japanese shit.

    Hey you could always cahnge gear if you dont have enough low end talk. Oh that right you cant figure out how to drive anythign other than an automatci because you're to busy listening to your V8 pissing away precious resources. SIZE DOESNT MATTER! Horsepower is the only thing that is important regardless of whatever the #$%# the engine is.

    first thing to get out, i don't think all american cars are crap. the saleen s7, hennessy viper, zz5, even the caviler are good cars. but when you start about how v8's are flat out superior, i have to disagree. although v8s do produce days amount of low end torque, it does not have a better power to weight ratio. i can point out the lotus elise 111r which runs off a celica 2xx-ge vvtli engine which produces around 190 hp with 140 lb/ft torque at 6800 rpm (not that high an rpm). the car weighs about 1892 lb which puts the elise's power weight ratio at about 220hp/ton. it only has a 4.8 sc 0-60 but it is naturally aspirated (don't think engine bay would be big enough for turbo) and would kill any big block on the turns.

    Except you are talking about the power to weight ratio of the car as a whole, not the engine. V8s get a much better power to weight ratio than most V6s (as they generally weigh about the same but generate much more power), and even some smaller engines. The fact that a car that weighs 1892 lb doesnt have a V8 doesn't mean the V8 sucks, it means the car weighs less. Check out the AC Cobra, which is just about as light, has a V8 and cranks out much more power (we're talking over 400 hp in a car that weighs around 2000 lb, who's got the better power to weight ratio now?).

    the ac cobra is supercharged and isn't even a stock car. and, it weighs more than 2500 lbs and has 265 hp/ton, not much more than the elise, which is na and has no body weight reduction, as it has to pass safety tests. if u wanna look at modified cars, look at the nissan skyline twin turbo. it has around 500hp/ton running off an i6, which is more stable than a v6.

    How is that relevant? I was merely showing that power to weight ratio says nothing about engine type unless you are talking about the weight of the engine alone. I have no idea what you are trying to say.

    i was pointing out that the ac cobra you were talking about is a supercharged v-8 so i brought up a i-6 configurated, turbo charged car that had more hp/ton.

    U americans are so stupid that I am about to puke. If u tune a car from europe or japan it will spank those precious V8. Btw I was at a drag race here the other day. 90% of the cars were americans, but then 1 Audi 4wd car smashed them all. The looked like fools...
