That looks more like a Ford racing block that Koenigsegg used in their early cars. The real Koenigsegg engine would cost more than the car.
Speaking of Granada's http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/Specialist-cars/Hot-rods/auction-278369301.htm
the whole cabin area looks slightly different, which would make me think they dont share platforms or anything, I think it might just be a global styling at the time? Must research.
Ya, much like how the Opel Commodore wasn't the same as the Holden Commodore at the time, but do have roughly the same dimensions.
They are stupid if they got the block from a Koenigsegg instead of a Ford. They probably paid more for the same thing.
They haven't got a Koenigsegg engine to begin with, and they wouldn't be able to afford one. They even mention somewhere in the thread that it's a 4.6L, and that says it all. I love the fact that I'm probably one of the few people who didn't get fooled.
