Haha Holy Shit!
So are all teams now limited to 3.0L V8s? No more V10s/12s??
yea they are limmited and that really sucks if these cars had the power that the 1980's cars had with their tecnical abilities now i wonder if jet fighters could keep up with them
btw: im new hea how do you guyz quote???

2.4L V8s. Although you cant notice the differene, its sad that they have made them slower
Cornering speeds are up in most cases I believe.
just switching to the V8s has made them slower..many of the drivers say that the 130R corner on suzuka used to be a challenge with the V10s with regards to entry speeds.
but with the V8s its just a bend at full throttle
The V10's had up to about 200 hp more. Of course that loss will be noticed for the drivers. But other areas have improved, and the smaller V8 engines need less cooling. Overall, a 2007 V8 car is about as fast as a 2005 V10 car. 2004 cars was faster due to better tires and it's possible that they also had somewhat different aero regs, I'm not sure about the latter.
The F1 cars of the mid eighties had about 900-1000 hp in the race, that is about the same as the late V10 engines. In qualification the power levels was slightly higher though, at about 1200-1300 hp.
Boost and fuel limits then decreased the output. In 1988 they only had about 680-700 hp, and that was the output of the most powerful car - the McLaren-Honda.
The Ferrari F2003 GA is my guess: big V10 power, unrestricted wings, and stickier tires. O and traction control too!
"unrestricted wings" ?
well Michael Schumacher was the greatest racer of all time, so the year he beat his PBs is probably when the cars were the fastest. 2003 or 2004 i believe.
why did you bump this up? and jesus christ not another ferrari fanboy
zzUltima bumped it.
it's still a FAGGOT
If I were Bernie, I would reinstate the tire rules of 2004 and mandate a 3.0 L V12 engine, effective starting in the 2010 season to give the teams some development time.
IT'S TIME TO MAKE F1 FUN AGAIN!
So far this season's great in my book <A BORDER="0" HREF="http://www.supercars.net/PitLane?displayFAQ=y"><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="pitlane/emoticons/smile.gif"></A>
and i think last season was pretty good too if you only look at the on track action and ignore the surrounding shit (admitedly hard to do)
Indeed, indeed, and what a season finale <A BORDER="0" HREF="http://www.supercars.net/PitLane?displayFAQ=y"><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="pitlane/emoticons/amazed.gif"></A>
