BF2 had aircraft carriers, you just couldn't drive them DICE learned their lesson with 1942 and the n00bs that caused problems with them.
exactly. loved ramming my aircraft carrier into other ships of the enemy, sinking them. had so much fun.
the loss of ships is why I never played a battlefield past those old timey ones. I know it was broken, sure.. but it was ambitious. Then there was an effort to shrink the game. Took away planes and made smaller maps for less people. lost the 1942 feel for a more squad fps feel. Give circa 2003 me the option of playing CS or some cockeyed version of CS with vehicles and I'll take CS. And I did and never played BF ever again.
