why? Im not much of a on-the-go gamer. I usually listen to music or read when travelling. The sheer amount of games on the DS has me wanting one though.

New Super Mario Bros. and Pokemon are worth buying a DS for. That's pretty much all I used mine for, and I don't regret it.

Someone managed to re-encode IGN's interview with the senior producer of BF:BC2...

Even at this early stage it still looks brilliant, and sharp eyes will notice the return of medpacks. <A BORDER="0" HREF="http://www.supercars.net/PitLane?displayFAQ=y"><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="pitlane/emoticons/grin.gif"></A>

Speaking of Natal, who wants to make a prediction about its price? Coming from the company that still charges $100 for a wifi adapter and $50 for a 512mb memory card, what can we expect? $80? $100? Possibly even more?

From what I understand there are two cameras in the middle for stereoscopic 3D and the green one on the left paints the environment with near-infrared (which also gets picked up by the two cameras). It sounds a little expensive.

  11. Game Thread XXXIII -- E3 Extravaganza!!

If it's coming free with future 360s, I don't expect anything above 50$.

So you think Microsoft will take a hit just to get it into more households?

    I could see that.

  13. Game Thread XXXIII -- E3 Extravaganza!!

You just said that it sounds expensive and Microsoft overprices peripherals, and now you're saying they're going to underprice it, and your tone implies that's a bad thing.

I think they'll just sell it at cost. The company that demo'd very similar tech last year that Microsoft bought was aiming for less than $100 (fux scnet's treatment of less-than). I think they'll sell it at cost or near it around $50 and bundle it with an Xbox 360 Slim for Winter 2010.

  14. Game Thread XXXIII -- E3 Extravaganza!!

have they said how expensive this is

    i really really want it

Lol at ur hate for xboxs

  16. Game Thread XXXIII -- E3 Extravaganza!!

Microsoft is trying really hard to penetrate the casuel market so I think they'd be willing to take a hit, but given that the current camera is $40 I'm not expecting Natal to cost less than $60. And if they bundle it that'll make a 360 price drop less likely.

  17. Game Thread XXXIII -- E3 Extravaganza!!

You're assuming the current camera is even still being made, or that it will be relevent.

There are still $40 and $50 memory cards when the 20gb refurbs are going for $20. Those memory cards haven't been made for a long time, and are just sitting there overpriced until retailers finally suck it up and just clear it out.

    http://www.edge-online.com/news/scee-wii-owners-will-upgrade-to-ps3

"If you look back at previous lifecycles, like PS2 versus N64, we have lots of data that suggests that lots of people bought into N64 as their entry level gaming device, and were happy to upgrade to a more powerful machine later in the lifecycle when the price point was right for them."

    Ehhh...what?

Sony needs to hire a PR guy who actually knows his own console history.

ugh, my computer wouldn't boot up and wake my computer montior from sleep mode. my mouse and keyboard were unresponsive, and so I took it in for a diagnostic. The rear fan failed and I bought a new one. However they flashed tte tower and it started working again but then died three days later.

I think my motherboard is shot, so new motherboard + I7 processor is gonna be pricey. In the meantime I picked up a Toshiba NB100 netbook and im using that as my hub <A BORDER="0" HREF="http://www.supercars.net/PitLane?displayFAQ=y"><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="pitlane/emoticons/tongue.gif"></A>
