Yep,, it has a Electronically controlled Continuously Variable Transmission (ECVT).
CVT can't be that bad seeing Williams F1 ones planed to use it in F1,

A few of my friends built a belt-less CVT, including a zero-drive ratio, based on sprag clutches. I thought it was pretty slick. Don't know how useful it is, though.
In before they build 4 speed automatics to save weight.

For small wrong wheel drive (front wheel drive) cars a CVT would be better and cheaper.
