Well, you know Webber got his 5th place just because there aren't that many cars left out on the track that race due to the heavy accident that happened in the beginning of the race but I still think Webber is a good driver though. Mika Salo, who has been racing in F1 for quite sometimes was having a hard time battling with Webber which at the end Salo spun out.

WELL DONE MARK! ralf launching a few feet into the air in the first few seconds and taking out half the grid had nothing to do with your BRILLIANT performance. good stuff mate.

What a great drive. He drove the car to the finish and even outraced Salo at the end. A great day for Webber, Minardi and Australia.

COME ON AUSSIE, COME ON, COME ON!!!!!!!

It was definately a good race by Webber and for Minardi. However, many things did play into their hands, such as the incedent at the begining. Also, Salo's Toyota was all over the Minardi at the end. Salo just simply messed up. Most people were %100 that Toyota would be getting the two points. But hey, that's racing. Congratulations Minardi and Webber!

Luck got him into 5th place, but it isnt easy to stay focused when you have a much quicker toyota on your back. Salo did his best to pressure Webber into making a mistake, but he ended up spinning himself instead :p.

Apparently the australians are using the same strategies as in the short track speed skating at the olympics... just hang back and let the leaders take themselves out, then jump in and finish in the points .

Yay Webber, Yay Minardi, Yay Australia (this goes against my natural born duty as a New Zealander to insult all thing Australian).

Drivers make their own luck, Scumacher was certainly "lucky" to have not been taken out at the first corner.

anyone care to guess how fast a minardi would go if had a decent motor? instead of a crappy rebuilt 3 years old Peugeot.

Congradulations to Minardi for their first points since 1999, and to Mark Webber for earning points in his first race.
Gotta give credit to Minardi (and Jaguar) strategists for having both cars so far back in the grid to avoid the first corner mess.
