  1. I've only seen a bone stock Fbody break into 12s in one test. I'm pretty sure it would take picture perfect conditions on top of absolutely phenomenal driving.

  2. I cant count on my hands how many times Ive seen a stock (down to the paper filter) fbody run in the 12s.
If I remember right, even a mustang magazine ran 12s with an SS they were testing against.

  3. uh, yea. I watched it happen for the 3 runs the guy made

Full weight, on stock tires and without powershifting? Somehow, I doubt it.

Where did this "without powershifting" bullshit made-up rule come from?

Bone stock refers to the car - stock parts, stock components, stock weight, stock gears, stock tires. That's all.

  6. That's like saying, "without going WOT? I doubt it..."

  7. No major automotive publication posts times that involve powershifting. It's just assumed that the car is driven properly.

  8. I cant think of an automotive publication that doesnt powershift. Unless you are refering to clutchless shifting, which is not powershifting.
Either way LS1 f-bodies have done 12s stock countless times.

  9. You mean no-lift shifting? I can guarantee you that Road & Track, Car & Driver, Motor Trend, Evo, and other big-name publications don't do it.

I just provided a pretty good source showing that it isn't very likely for them to run 12s bone stock. It would really help if you could do the same for your argument.

  10. MM&FF (Muscle Mustangs and Fast Fords)

Ran a Z28 Camaro (not an SS) to a 12.8 bone stock in a comparison against the Mustang.

  11. Yep, I've heard of that. But remember, I never said it was impossible to get one into the 12s stock, just that it's very difficult.

  12. That's what you said at first, and I agreed with you.

    Then this happened:

Dragstrip - "I cant count on my hands how many times Ive seen a stock (down to the paper filter) fbody run in the 12s.
If I remember right, even a mustang magazine ran 12s with an SS they were testing against."

You - "Full weight, on stock tires and without powershifting? Somehow, I doubt it. "

How the hell do you know what DragStrip has or has not seen take place at the actual drag strips? Esepcially after it's been verified that it IS possible to do!

  13. I never said "I know you didn't see that". I said "I doubt it", based on the many tests I've seen and my own experienec at the drag strip. There's a difference.

  14. I still can't find that pic, but...

  23. Well it could be worse. At least you have a car, I'm sure plenty of people in South America wish they had a Panda. Besides if you didn't have a Panda, then what would your username be?
