piece of shit

2. Re: Guess what i saw drag a hsv and win (by alot)

nfsracing: I dont actually know what power will be out of the GT/GTHO. I believe the t-series will be offered anywhere from 250-270kw. GT anywhere between 280-300kw and GTHO between 300-320kw. Now it ont confirmed yet if both GT and GTHO names will be used but I couldnt see why not. but yeah I could almost gurantee you the next GT/GTJO whatever will do low 13s maybe even break inot the 12s if we are lucky.

THIS CAR IS SWEET

4. Re: Guess what i saw drag a hsv and win (by alot)

Nfsracing don't give up just yet....

If you hadn't lived in Perth I wouldn't believed you, but since you do, that changes the subject...

The truth is, the original 300+ coupe that Ford developed IS being tested in Perth. The only difference is, is that it is a FOUR door.
Thats right, the prototype is a four door and is/was being tested in Perth.

I'm not talking about the actual 'coupe' that we all saw at the Motor Show, but rather the prototype Ford developed.

Hope that clears things up. =)

I guess you can buy them whether from fte or aec it dont matter, the fact is you can buy them and they kick serious Ass!

7. Re: Guess what i saw drag a hsv and win (by alot)

Oh boy... here we go again. The only 2 door falcon is the 30grand option from Hiller conversions. The 300+ was a concept and it was never made by ford. Ford said that there wont be making a 2 door, so the oly 2 door falcon youd ever see is an aftermarket job, and hiller is the only one I know that so this right now.

LOL i know what i saw, it looked exactly like the one in the pic up there and didnt sound like anything other then a supercharged mustang v8 to me!
I HAVE WITNESSES!
stop reading motor and actually ask the company! www.advancedengine.com email them and you would get a, YES WE ARE SELLING THEM THROUGH FORD DEALERS A BUILD RUN OF 100 ONLY
so nur!

9. Re: Guess what i saw drag a hsv and win (by alot)

AEC still want to sell the coupe through Ford dealers but that wont happen as it will never be a ford product. And i never had to read motor to know that the coupe wouldnt be made as I have connection in the ford engine plant in Geelong. I dont know what you saw, maybe theres 1 or 2 going around, or maybe your confused, I dont know. But what I do know is that ford wont be selling them through ford dealers and a 2 door wont be an offical ford product for an undetermined time as of yet.

NoobE !
i know what i frickin saw!
i know what i frickin heard!
i know what that frickin email said!
and your friend in the geelong engine plant wouldnt know because it has nothing to do with him .. all he does is deal with windsors and 4 litre sixes! only aec and tickford deal with the goods and it would have been pretty difficult for ford to back out of selling them in the first place as when it was first showed at the melbourne motor show, ford was flooded with orders so wtf would they back out thats just stupid!

11. Re: Guess what i saw drag a hsv and win (by alot)

How can you like Ford and GM? Ford absolutely shit all over Holden, can't you make your mind up about your sexuality either?
Have you seen the new TE50? That should make your mind up for you.

12. Re: Guess what i saw drag a hsv and win (by alot)

i like both of them but i do actually think ford is better then holden but dont mean i hate holden!
i like hsvs because they r mean and tough and i like tickfords because they r more refined and r now just getting better at performance.
they are both better then each other in different areas its just fords better in the more importamt areas and is making its cars better then holdens in the other areas so i think very soon ford will be all over holden.

nfsracing: Tickford is the offical performance arm of Ford Australia, so whatever they do is sold through ford dealers or FTE dealers. AEC on the other hand are just another aftermarket brand. The coupe was a joint venture between aec, millard desing and sprintex supercharger. Rumour is that hiller boys (who were the first to make the 2 door AU as fas as I know) want to release a 430kw coupe for arounbd 130k mark. But i'll say it forth last time, if there are any 2 door falcons going around, beleive me they had nothing to do with ford.

15. Re: Guess what i saw drag a hsv and win (by alot)

*sigh*
ok i admit it. what i saw wasnt a 300+ coupe, it was a daewoo matiz! that had been done up to look like a falcon coupe!
i'll say this for the last time. i saw a 300+ coupe in the flesh, less then 10m from me.
i know what a 300+ looks like as i buy about 5 different car mags a month and when it was at the perth motor show i took about 20 photos of it.
i also new it wasnt a cheap imatation of one as that engine was definatley a dohc 4.6 v8 with that little extra whistle (the sprintex)
maybe it was just the one from the motorshow that some guy from aec was playing with or maybe ford are selling them to selected customers but i saw what i saw.
END OF STORY

Nfsracing: What you saw was an AU Falcon, aftermarket converted to be the Falcon 300+. Yes, it was a 300+. No, Ford had nothing to do with it.

I wish they bought this car out. I liked it.. thought it could show HSV something. I love the black mags!

Pity. Ford really need another GTHO, that'd bring everyone back in line.

17. Re: Guess what i saw drag a hsv and win (by alot)

NFS racing I never said you didnt see what you saw, I just dont want you to be confused into thinking Ford are offering this to thier customers. There will almost definatyly be aftermarket coupes on sale next year based on the AU, and what you saw was probably a test mule for what will be sold aftermarket soon. SpaceGen is right, just like I said it had ntohing to do with ford as such.
Also there will mot likely be a GT And GTHO when Barra is released next year.

18. Re: Guess what i saw drag a hsv and win (by alot)

Ok Ok i believe you.
The AV GT will have a 310kw 5.4 modular i heard capable of quarter mile times of 13 seconds which will make it the fastest sedan in the world. true or some bs started by the press?

Tickford5400 it says that the AV GT 310KW 5.4 Litre DOHC V8 Will just nudge the 13 sec mark, i cant wait till the QUAD CAM's are placed into the falcon's and especially into the GTHO's oh boy i see a good 12.0 - 12.6 sec quarter mile ............ ) oh Boy arent we playing with some serious LAVA hahaha btw theres going to be a tickford family festival happening in around february at the campbefield site , if you go to www.tickford.com.au you will see the information listed there take care buddy

Yeah the speculation surrounds if both GT and GTHO names will be used. I'm presuming that if they are predicting 310kw for the GT then they are insinuating this will be the pinnacle of fords lineup. I hope I'm wrong. But I would have have no problems with GT beeing 310kw and GTHO beeing 355kw and 610nm. Could imagine that go in a car that would hopefully weight less than 1700kg
ABout that Ticfkord day, I'm there don't you worry about that. 33 Glebarry road campbellfield. Theres also the Kiwians all Ford day if you are near Geelong and could make it down on the 17th February, 2002. That's a Sunday and it goes from 10am to 4pm at the Geelong race course - Breakwater Road, East Geelong, Victoria.

How'd you find out these facts about the GT?? and where?

23. Re: Guess what i saw drag a hsv and win (by alot)

Well well well, it appears that the 300+ IS indeed making a comeback.

An article in the West Australian Motoring section states that Advanced Engine Components (AEC) are now actually taking orders for the Falcon 300+.
However it will be launched - which will be in a few weeks - as the AEC 300+.

Quoting the West Australian, AEC chief operating officer Tony Hamilton says, "As far as most people were concerned, the 300+ was dead and buried. But we've spent the past 18 months refining and developing the cars."

Slight upgrades have been made to the car, including a higher rear wing, stronger tailshaft, a twin-pipe stainless steel exhaust system, Koni shock absorbers and anti-roll bars front and rear.

The car still uses a supercharged 4.6L V8 and still produces 300kw.
Maximum torque is 560Nm at 3800 revs. It accelerates from 0-100km/h in 4.6 sec, and does the quarter in 12.6 sec. However, top speed IS limited to 250 km/h.

Quoting the West Australian again, Tony Hamilton says, "We would love for Ford to have a look at them and tell us what they think. We see no reason why we couldn't hand the whole project over to Ford or Tickford so long as we continue to supply the supercharger and ECU (Engine Control Unit)."

Two versions of the car are being produced, the coupe and the sedan.
Prices are $135,000 for the coupe and $105,000 for the sedan.
AEC hopes to produce 10 a year and the cars take 3 months to build.

So, the fastest and swiftest Falcon is gonna be produced in Perth.
Can't wait to see one go flying past me on the freeway. =)

24. Re: Guess what i saw drag a hsv and win (by alot)

The TS50 doesnt beat the Clubsport at anything...there have been instances where both cars have won by fractions of a second.

25. Re: Guess what i saw drag a hsv and win (by alot)

They are pretty equal in a straight line but the Ford is quicker around a racetrack.
