1. Hey guys,
I've been coming to the SC.net forums for about 2 years now, i just never got the urge to sign up until now. I'm 21 years old and live in Augusta, Georgia USA.I work at an alignment shop doing passenger car alignments and semi-truck alignments. I'm ASE certified in Suspension/steering and i'm taking the certification tests for brakes and engine repair on november 9'th. I love all kinds of cars. From jap imports to american muscle. I own 4 cars. My 2 daily drivers are a 98 Mitsubishi Galant ES (stock) and an 84 Ford Bronco. The bronco has the hood, front fenders, grill, and head lights off a 96 bronco. My toy cars that are currently under construction are a 85 Porsche 944 non turbo in need of front lower valence, clutch, new front seats and paint job. Currently stock but thinking about doing the LT1 conversion. And, my baby, a 68 firebird 400. I didn't built the motor in the bird and the guy i bought it from paid someone else to do it so he didn't know much about it. But what i know about it is its got a Chevy 383 with bowtie block, bowtie heads, bowtie intake, holly 850, hooker super comp headers, roller rockers, and solid lift cam. I'll be tearing the engine down in a couple months to see exactly what i have then i may be able to give a more detailed description. Sounds real strong though. Dude said he had it dynoed (unsure if that is true or not) at just over 600hp to the rear wheels. But from what i see i'm guessing around 450 to 500. Only thing i have pics of on the puter right now is the porsche. i'll take pics of the others tomorrow when i have daylight.

13. engine and some new body parts...

14. Yea, the story behind that is some old black dude that owns a trailer repair shop had it sitting on the side of the lot for about 6 months. I finally decided to go over there and make him an offer. I asked him about the car and he said it used to belong to his son but he went to prison for something... (forgot what) anyway he told me he didn't even know what kind of porsche it was or what it was worth. He said "make me an offer" so i looked in my wallet and told him i've got $200 on me. And to my suprise he said "allright, now get this piece of shit off my property" So we made up a bill of sale and i came and picked it up an hour later

edit: btw...My sister works for the DMV and i got her to run the VIN#...the car wasn't stolen

16. Dude, you are offically my new favorite member.

17.
18. Yeah! A member with passion for muscle cars.

Is that a 1969 Firebird and what's the engine?

19. Its a 68 originally a 400 car...now its got a chevy 383. I've got a question for those who may have experience with the first gen camaros and firebirds, i've got 255/60R15 on the car now. They're scrubbing on the fenderwell when i get on it at all but i know i can get some bigger meats under there if i have the correct backspaced wheel. What i want is 275/40R17. Does anyone know if i can get them under there and what the backspacing on the wheel would be? I've got a stock length 12 bolt rear end if that makes a difference.

20. Sweet, you sound awsome, finnaly, a good new member. Nice cars, and interesting story with the porsche!
