1. Which do you think is better and in what order? This would be my order.

1. RX 7
2. Supra
3. S2000(personally don't like it.Overpriced!)
4. WRX (personaly don't like it.Its to ugly!!!)

2. Re: (Highly Modified) RX 7 vs (Highly Modified) Supra vs(Highly

The RX-7 is faster than the Supra. So I have been told and I am sure the Supra could take the S2000 and the WRX.

3. Re: (Highly Modified) RX 7 vs (Highly Modified) Supra vs(Highly

the s2000 will get shat all over cos of its limited tuning potential all thanks to the #$%#in factory airbox, and i dont know why it cant be removed.

I THINK DA S2000 IS OVER PRICED TOO. BUT HERE IS MY ORDER.

1) RX7>CUZ OF THE ENGINE.
2) SUPRA>I LOVE MA CAR.
3) S2000 > SHIT IS WACK.
4) WRX> UGLY AND WACK.

5. Re: (Highly Modified) RX 7 vs (Highly Modified) Supra vs(Highly

No way! My order would be this;
1) Skyline R-34
2) Supra RZ
3) RX-7

My opinion is that the skyline is one of the most whuppaassss cars ever and would cream most cars.

Under extensive mods the ruggedness of the supra's engine becomes vital. The wankel doesnt have this. One engine overheat in the rotary engine usually leads to replacement of the motor. Stock, supras are faster and under extreme mods its anyones game, although the supra's engine will hold out longer.

How in the hell would anybody know which one would win?!?! Highly Modified?!... you don't know how much that is, or how much for each car... Since everybody has watched "The Fast and The Furious," everybody thinks that the RX-7 and the Supra are the fastest street cars in the world!! Wrong, any car can be extremely fast. These cars are just easier and may look a little better. So i say there is no way to tell which one would win... there is countless ways to beef up and engine... and it isn't just an engine, aerodynamics play a huge role in racing as well. So you can't judge which car would win, any of these cars could the best with the right precision.

RX7. It is light, streetable and has many different ways to mod.

12. Re: (Highly Modified) RX 7 vs (Highly Modified) Supra vs(Highly

I dont want to diss any supra or s2000 or whatever. I've use to own a 1984 Celica Supra(first car) This is the greatest car to come out of Japan. GREAT ENGINE, great styling for its age and overall great performance. But Like a cool 16 yr old, I wanted to race my friends. And one of my friends had a rx-7 GTU. I thought i had the definate win with a inline 6 and he with a rotary. Of course we lined up and damn i got wipped to sh*t. I swear I was red all over. I started to study the Rx-7 and its engine. Wow this thing is cool, so I bought one. A 1994 R1. Got new parts, intercooler, new icu, cool new body kit(have to impress the ladies) and a single turbo intallation. My 7 is pushing around 450. I want to get it dynoed and see what it really is. I go for the Rx-7 all the way, I've never lost. I wont ever lose. I spent around $4,400 in total for parts in the car. And thats cheap when you think of the horsepower you get. Im running mid/high 11's. I bet with slicks I can get 10's. Dont underestimate the Rotary engine. Might look little but this thing is ferocious. No more pistons for me.

p.s. in every drag competition theres always been a rotary vs. piston race...I assure you, Rotary never lost.

14. Re: (Highly Modified) RX 7 vs (Highly Modified) Supra vs(Highly

The RX has nothing to prove when racing supras. Check out the G-Force challenge where an RX with around 300 HP dusted 2 supras with around 700 HP among other cars in all 3 events. The RX won on the skidpad, slalom and track lap time. The cosworth, skyline some VWs and a few other cars got beat by the RX and if you don't believe me you can look it up or buy the movie and see it for yourself.

15. Re: (Highly Modified) RX 7 vs (Highly Modified) Supra vs(Highly

Yeah I actually know what you are talking about...I think VW Beetle did better than a supra, if im not mistaken, which I probably am.

16. Re: (Highly Modified) RX 7 vs (Highly Modified) Supra vs(Highly

i would take the rx-7, but i love the wrx(thats what i drive)
but i am looking for a 94 rx-7

17. Re: (Highly Modified) RX 7 vs (Highly Modified) Supra vs(Highly

Its a very stange question to which there is no answer.
What you mean Highly Modified? How much modding are we talking? a few thousand spent on the car or we talking 20,000 30,000+. Then its what ever you want to make fast will be fast with that money.
Personally, I would say the Supra if we are going as far as complete rebuilds turbos, weight saving, ie. carbon panels, thinner glass. The Supra has more potential.
But if you are gonna spend that much on a car you could make any car like that REALLY fast, Nissan 300ZX, Nissan Skyline, Honda NSX, Mitsumishi GTO (Not so easy though, I hear).

18. Re: (Highly Modified) RX 7 vs (Highly Modified) Supra vs(Highly

supra will will win eventually becouse of his tuneable engine.
Rotor engine's are good for agile balance and cornering.
Anyway both cars are made for different purposes.
RX7 for cornering, supra for high speed.

19. Re: (Highly Modified) RX 7 vs (Highly Modified) Supra vs(Highly

My order
2- supra and 1100hp turbo (suprastore.com)
1- rex7 bc lots of mods
4 & 3- what the hell, dont compare those cars with supra and rex7. cars but i still love them (should of put NSX instead of S2000 and Skyline instead of WRX).

ONE QUESTION BECAUSE I CANT POST TOPICS BC I DONT HAVE 50 POSTS YET!
I heard that the Amemiya RX-7 was the fastest street legal car in the world and im not sure about that so can anyone post up info on it!

20. Re: (Highly Modified) RX 7 vs (Highly Modified) Supra vs(Highly

OK, the Heavenly Mazda Rx-7 weighs around 2,600 pounds. The Breathtaking Twin-Turbo Supra weighs around 3,600 pounds but has a 65 HP advantage. Both can be easily modified into incredibly fast cars. In my opinion, they are both works of art and strokes of genius. but the WRX, as far as I'm concerned, is not a very good car. Now I know they can be upgraded, but let's be honest, it can't compete with the Rx-7 and the Supra. So anyone that owns a WRX, why don't you save yourself some stress and just start shredding your WRX into paperclips and soda cans.

21. Re: (Highly Modified) RX 7 vs (Highly Modified) Supra vs(Highly

Why are you trying to compare 3 RWD cars with a AWD WRX ? I think the Supra can waste the RX-7 and easily the S2000. You can almost not tune the S2000. The motor of that car is already pushed at his max. Supra has more potential than the RX-7. And even more than S2000 and WRX. But any Supra could waste a Skyline R34 GT-R (Even if it's a AWD )

I this is worst topic EVER. I'm insulted and we are all poorer for it

23. Re: (Highly Modified) RX 7 vs (Highly Modified) Supra vs(Highly

i agree, this thread is pretty damn pathetic. ppl tune their cars to different degrees. who will win between these modded cars??? WHO CARES???!!! what? is the car that wins the best car on earth? im sick of these questions. all they do is cause more arguments.

24. Re: (Highly Modified) RX 7 vs (Highly Modified) Supra vs(Highly

on average, equally modified Supras (dollars spent) will result in a faster car than the other three. The (last?) generation supras are just incredibly fast and have a ton of potential stock.

Re: (Highly Modified) RX 7 vs (Highly Modified) Supra vs(Highly

RX7, Supra, WRX, S2000 in that order.
In pro drag racing RX7s run low 7s 1/4 miles which is better than supras - fastest is a high 8 along side a Skyline GT-R, WRXs rarely dip into the 9s bracket, where many more EVOs reach.

All these cars handle exceptionally well, so lest just focus on power.

If we talking street modified then RX7 still wins but by a lesser margin.
13Bs can be worked to 500-600hp with just a extended port single turbo conversion, and retaining primary injectors, highly streetable and some still pass smog test.
Some bridgeport turbos blast past 900hp. Factory mazda 13B engines with lots of treatments and coatings can survive up to 1200hp /12,000rpm which is the limit. There are few aftermarket internal parts for rotarys like titanium alloy rotors and housings and i'm not sure what amazing outputs those parts can achieve but when you have a factory engine that can handle FIVE times its original intended output, you don't need it!
RX7s are extremely light at ~1250kg, in full body drag form they can be less than 900kg. They also have a aerodynamic Cd of .28-.29 and bugger all frontal area and wetted surface.
RX7s are also much less expensive to modify since fewer hi-performance parts are needed to be replaced.

The supra engine can be built to 900-1000hp at the crank on a entirely stock bottom end (evidence at www.T04r.com). Its truely amazing how strong the driveline is in these cars. Although theres good reliabilty at high power, 700hp and above these engines need a bottom end build up to last long or to get to 1100-1200hp which is the stock blocks limit. There have been a few 1300hp supras, currently a small group of engineers in japan is working with Top Secret to produce a 1500hp supra for the japanese speed record. Supras also aerodynamic and come in under the .30 mark in Cd. A four digit horsepower supra is a garunteed 200-220mph and they frequently do that on japanese highways along with rx7s and skylines. Supras were engineered with future hi-po versions which were never made, also with JGTC and other racing classes in mind. Supras are heavy though, a full body stripped down supra will weigh around 1300kg with a cage, still fairly heavy.

WRX, well as much I love these cars, they break easily, and need a toughend driveline (although engine is not as bad) to make anything more than 50% more power than they do. Bizarrely a bog stock WRX can be trashed to hell and not break. But many wrxs are in the 10 second bracket and highly streetable. They are light and AWD makes for killer street cars. Despite not being brute force drag strip kings as the other two cars here Many are known to collect big displacement V8s as bug splatter in their front grills. :D

S2000 is a NA engine which means it would be difficult to boost, I'd expect 700hp-1000hp would be possible with a good build up considering the engine has such a high NA flow for a 2litre 4-pot. S2000s are light, can be trimmed down to 800kg in drag form. There are a few - just a few - blown s2000s being shown from japanese tuning houses, and some are on the streets. There are some making very big outputs for a 2 litre. There are bolt-on turbo kits for 350-600hp currently available.

Ok to summarise... rotary owns you.
