  1. Are high in the air, understand?

Remember back in the day when the engine output on a Rolls-Royce was listed as "adequate" or "more than adequate"? We don't know what the old guard would make of this, but adequate doesn't even come close.

This vintage Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow has had its "ordinary" 6.75-liter V8 swaped out for a 592 Hemi, complete with dual-stage nitrous system for a reported output of over 1,000 horsepower. The chrome engine popping out of the hood might not be the average Rolls buyer's cup of tea, as it detracts from the usually-dominant classic grille, but the leather-covered roll cage is pure class. And here we thought the modern day Phantom was powerful enough as is........
  2. Ruined, just completely ruined. They even Americanized the interior, eww. "Pure class" is an original Rolls in nice shape. This is by no means pure class, not even if they covered the #$%#ing roll cage in leather.
  3. I wouldn't want to be seen near it.
  4. It would be awesome without #$%#ing disgusting 10-metre tall American engine sticking out of the hood and what are probably some played-out Torque Thrusts.

  6. Hemi in rolls = FAILURE
  7. god damnit exer
  8. Madly in love. Would buy two. Only thing better would be a Cummins in a Prius. With smoke stacks.
  9. I hate those hotrod interiors. They #$%#ing suck.
  10. that used to be a car...
  11. I'm glad there are people out there willing to do stuff like this.

Like Keith Moon - he would buy something that is considered high class and exclusive and then defile it, just to prove that objects are just that - objects. You aren't special because you have a Rolls Royce. Any fool with money can buy a Rolls Royce and paint it pink and make you look like a fool.

  13. While it may be done like that, before we can say he ruined it, we would need to know what it was like before. For all we know, the car could have been a complete write off, say a flood car or the like?
  14. I'd do things a bit differently. Keep the interior nice and original with all the funny details and such, but have a big-block ZZ572/720R UNDER the stock hood. I'd drive around in it wearing Levi's and a white t-shirt, with a trilby hat and a pipe in my mouth.

  17. There were minor areas I think that would improve the syling. A different choice in wheels and a custom designed scoop to work with the body would make all the difference.
  18. I love the idea....

But the interior is shit, and the wheels + ride height suck.
I love the engine popping through the bonnet. (though its a bit too high. I would have had just the butterflies popping through.

I've always wanted to 'muscle-ize' a luxury euro car or 2 .... This guy didnt do it right though.

Mainly, I just want a luxury euro car thats loud, and lumpy/low revving... carby big block swap or something.
Also, I'd do it to something far newer.

  19. In my city, there is a guy who took a volvo, cannot remember exactly which, one of the larger sedans, and put in a mustang 5L motor with a supercharger and daily drives it.
  20. similar thing in my city. One of those 1980s Volvo sedans, with a twin turbo LS1.

Wouldnt know it had anything like that under the bonnet though, unless its turned on.
