Hockenheim Track Times And people keep saying the A4 3.2 is underpowered. It's faster then the old S4, RS4 avant, Merc SL500, Mitsu EVO 7,Merc CLK 63 AMG etc. Heck it's just as fast as the 335i
Hockenheim Track Times are you sure?? 335 is faster than A4 3.2! RS4 is much faster than A4 3.2... CLK 63 is a jet vs A4 3.2...!!!
Hockenheim Track Times Look at the lap times. A4 3.2 - 1:18.0 335i - 1:18.0 RS4 (b5) - 1:18.2 CLK 63 AMG - 1:18.4
Hockenheim Track Times Of course the A4 is underpowered but only if you compare it a 335i. If its 330i its much closer. Drive on the freeway or where the roads are straight and the 335i is going to crush the A4 3.2. New A4 handles good but that has nothing to do with power. Thanks to traction and with help of AWD the new A4 can set a great laptime on the small Hockenheim. If the A4 was FWD the laptime wouldn't be this good.
Hockenheim Track Times yes but when you say underpowered, whats that got do to with the laptime? In pure acceleration A4 is underpowered compared to 335i and Is350. Audi should hurry up with the twinturbo V6, until then, A4 is underpowered, period. New A4 handles well but that has nothing to do with power. on a sidenote, I driven the new Audi A4 but it was a FWD and a diesel and despite FWD it handles good but the car isnt as rewarding as a BMW to drive.
