Man Oh Man So Many Honda Civic Kill Stories. Ok here is a good one, once i finished all the mods on my ZR-28 I was out driving around, and I saw a Honda Civic (one with the huge wing, and the ground effects, and the fake hood induction) and a Mazda Mx6 (looked pretty much stock) Lined up at a red light and me being the racing enthusiest that I am I was intrested in seeing the turnout of this race so I sped up before the light turned green and we were all sitting there on 66. And I wasnt gunna get involved until the Civic looked over and saw me, and he was looking at me and reved the Engine and I was like "You dont know what your getting yourself into." So i reved back all in good fun and I still didnt want to get involved until the guy fliped me off, so then i was like your just stupid. So I sat there waiting for the light to turn green and when it did I swear I left that Civic in a Cloud of white smoke. He eventually came out and was trying desperatly to catch up till we caught the next light and i stoped way early enought to fit another car between me and the line at the redlight. I gave the civic about a car lenght head start and the light turned green and he took off and then i took off (trying to give him a little bit more of a chance) and when i got about even with him, his RPM were screaming, you could tell he was getting desperate for more power and then I floored it and took off and left him in the dust like he was on a bicycle. i finally shut it down when there was no chance of him ever catching up, I think i was going about 135 (good thing there were no cops, it was in broad daylight)... (the Mx6 ended up turning at the first light) <!-- Signature -->
Re: HONDA CIVIC KILL STORIES My little encounter with a Civic happened on 635. I was going and i saw a big wing sticking up over the back of a car, so i sped up to see what it was. So i got next to the civic and he motion to me to exit so i did, and we go on the service road. and at the red light on the service road we lined em up. so we were waiting for the light to turn green, and we took off, i was a lil suprised that the civic was still staying up with me till i sifted to 3rd and then lost him. it was quite funny considering i had my ex girlfriend riding shotgun and my younger brother in the backseat laughing the whole time. The Civic just came from behind our car and the C5 had pulled great lengths ahead of both the Civic and our car. Re: HONDA CIVIC KILL STORIES I've got a great kill story! A friend of mine was driving his 96' Nissan Maxima (its a healthy 190hp but its an Automatic) on RT 7. He dose not race his maxima in any way shape or form, it's totaly stock and just used to get from one place to another. Anyways, late at night he was stoped at a light and a Civic Si rolled up next to him and started reving his engine like crazy. When the light turned green my friend floored it and his family hauler sedan whooped the si by a good 3 or 4 car lenghts. Imagine what real preformance car would do to that thang? I has going home and i heard an import reving the engine but i couldnt see it cuz we were at a redlight and i was in the right hand lane, and there was a suburband in the middle and the import was on the far left... so i head the engine and i didnt rev back. so the light turned green and he took off and i was just going enough to keep up with him. I changed lanes and was right beside him. (it ended up being an accord. (haha yeah i know) and then we stoped at another light and he did it again, so i was like your not worth it, so he took off when it turned green. and it being April fools i just let him take off and me staying a car length behind him (not trying at all). and he turned on his hazard lights (i guess to signal that he was win). Then we hit another red light. And again he was reving his engine, and by now i was just getting annoyed by this behavior so i rolled down my window and said "are you sure you wanna race" he said "hell yes, imma kick you ass like I did at the other light" so i rolled up my window, and didnt even bother turning off my AC or radio, and reved back... so we waited for a while just sitting there reving and then the lighted turned green and i just took off, he was left there with the rubber i layed. and it was obvious that he was embarrased, cuz he didnt even try to catch up.<!-- Signature -->

But I can remember one story of me and this black hatch back civic with the big exhaust. I could also hear a winding noise comming from the front so I wasn't sure if it was a turbo or just the engine that makes that sound. So anyway we were sitting there on a saturday night around midnight waiting for the flager to drop his hands and we both took off and right as we took off the Cops came and broke up the street racing I was half way down the road and the civic was still bout 3 car lengths back and I was looking for somewhere to turn to get out of the street because the cops were busting up where everyone was watching and I figured that the cops were gunna come after me and the civic. So I turned into McDonalds and went inside left my car parked just incase they came looking for me and bout 2 minutes later the same civic that I raced and beat came in there and he was asked me if I was the one in the Black Cobra and I said yes, and he was telling me about everything he put on it, and we were just talking. He was the reason that I started respecting all cars and not just American Muscle he was extremely nice and had a really nice car too. But the point of this entry is that to say that even though my car was alot faster, I still respect the Civics and everything else, I just love cars in general and that I wish everyone else could still have the same feelings towards all cars instead of the people who talk shit like oh yeah all Imports suck... Just try and keep the peace, Friendly arguements are alright but when you start bashing an entire race of people and their products thats taking it to far.<!-- Signature -->

How in the world could you ever compare a honda-civic-type R with ANY 3000cc car????? it is pure non sense. It is bold truth people: NO 2000cc(2002type R) can beat a 3000cc or even bigger! BUT: try comparing this japanese NINJA with any other 2000cc even turbo tuned and you'll see that the japs made a helluva fine motorwork! But, if we're talking about classes, if you live in the US, why not move up to the higher class? Camaros, Firebirds, Mustands etc, instead of being stuck in the I-4 technology. In japan their limited, why would you be limited if you live in America? Just a thought... BTW japans engine technology WAS made by america (obviously we invented the car) AND its older than the Pushrod V8... V8's are better technology, they dont have to revv their RPMS and push their limits as hard. I think all import owners that live in the US need to look into that, and question themselves too.

Re: HONDA CIVIC KILL STORIES YOU MORON, America DID NOT invent the car, they (Henry Ford) invented the mass production Assembly line, next time don't spout such stupidity. And people don't upgrade to the "higher" class because, Imports with I-4 technology are not only quick enough, but can also be driven hard on windy paved and dirt roads, and still remain on the road. Basically, you can really only say that V8's are in a higher class when it comes to straight line acceleration (even though there are countless V6's, and Numerous I4's that are faster than the cars you listed - Camaros Firebirds, "Mustands"). Inline 4 engines ARE older than the Pushrod V8, however VVT, FI, High compression vs small displacement, ECU's, DOHC, etc. etc. and countless other developments are MUCH newer than the original Pushrod V8 designs....and V12's are far beyond V8's, those did not come from America either.

Re: HONDA CIVIC KILL STORIES the other dayi was at a stoplight and i was driign my parent's 4x4 ranger and this little civic pulls up. well the guy in it starts revving his engine at me. i am like i am in a 4x4 what the heck? well the light turns green and the guy hits the gas. his car is all revved up and at first i was just gonna let him go but my ego kicked in so i punched the gas and i smoked the civic. i was in a freakin 4x4 and i smoked him. well at the next stoplight i looked over at hima nd he would not look at me. i thought it was hilarious.
Re: HONDA CIVIC KILL STORIES Good one. Racing economy cars is riduculus. How many econ cars can run a mid to high 12 in the 1/4. hmmm.. My camaro is running 400 hp and 410 torque. You may get close to the hp but never the torque. That is why you will lose. All the performance parts add is fake and peaky hp and not torque. Torque comes from engine size. Go get a 5.7L. No replacement for displacement.
