1. THE CAR IS AWESOME!!!! I like the design!!! and i lOOOOOOOOOOOVEeeeeeeeee the engine...ITS a 2.0 inline 4 with more than 500hp...i'm aware of the presence of the 2 turbo's but still, how is it possible to go that far?!??!?!?
and i love the performance...the car is faaaaaaaaaaasttttttttttttttttttttttttttttt,,, really really fast...

alot of race and rally cars make t hat kinda power. easily done with 20-25psi of boost and not too crazy engine speeds. some WRX and EVOs make 600-750hp from 2 litre 4's

3. Re: how could you get 512Hp from a inline 4???

um, RS200's got 650RWHP regularly

4. Re: how could you get 512Hp from a inline 4???

turbo/NOZ

5. Re: how could you get 512Hp from a inline 4???

The Supras which race in the JGTC have 4 cylinder engines which make about 500hp, even with teh restrictions.

6. Re: how could you get 512Hp from a inline 4???

many race cars have that much power, imprezas, evo. they have 4 cylinder cars.

7. Re: how could you get 512Hp from a inline 4???

In the early 80s BMW had a 1.5L 4cyl (for F1) making closer to 1500bhp.

true but they also ran to about 12,000 rpm and about 30-40 pounds of boost depending on qualifying or race setup. also full rich mixture for the fuel

9. Re: how could you get 512Hp from a inline 4???

how many pounds of boost? that's pretty damn crazy! that's gotta be one helluva strong block to handle all of that boost.

10. Re: how could you get 512Hp from a inline 4???

uhhh...wow..512HP from a 4?? again I say...wow. Pretty wild design to match too

11. Re: how could you get 512Hp from a inline 4???

It is an inline four. That means that those two turbos are in series, not in paralell. I'd also lay good odds on not only two intercoolers, but an aftercooler as well. You'd almost have to if you're running series turbos with high pressures.

12. Re: how could you get 512Hp from a inline 4???

2 liters doing 2.7 seconds! Awesome just awesome!

13. Re: how could you get 512Hp from a inline 4???

I think the question would be, how can you get 512hp from any engine at 0 rpm?

haha... ok, I'm done nit picking the typos on this site.

14. Re: how could you get 512Hp from a inline 4???

strong head gaskets actually

15. Re: how could you get 512Hp from a inline 4???

I've never heard of turbochargers being put together in series. Why would you have a turbocharger running a turbocharger? If it was an inline 4, I'd just do a turbo hooked to one intake manifold for the front two cylinders and a turbo hooked to another separate intake manifold for the rear two cylinders. That, my friend, is parallel.

16. Re: how could you get 512Hp from a inline 4???

Never heard of turbos running in parallel?

What would you call a situation where one turbo caters for the bottom half of the rpm range, and another that caters to the top half of the engine range?

What do you think of the Mazda RX7, which doesnt have pistons? How could you run 2 pistons with each turbo under those situations?

Dude, go back to school. You dont know what you're talking about. Read a bit more before opening your hole next time.

hey... Big rob, is that the same big rob thats been on here for a logn time under the nick Big Rob?

18. Re: how could you get 512Hp from a inline 4???

I'm a noob here.

Who is this big Rob I keep hearing about??

19. Re: how could you get 512Hp from a inline 4???

that wouldnt make a difference over the same type of turbo running of the headers of all four cylinders and feading all four cylinders. having one after the other is much better, a small one followed by a large one works best.

20. Re: how could you get 512Hp from a inline 4???

RevinHigh let me see if i can explain this to you in the lowest form of the English language so you might comprehend it - On an in-line 4 it is almost the same as a straight 6 which are used in Supras. However on an inline 4 it has one manifold and there are cars with inline 4's or 4cylinders capable of 1700plus bhp depending on the engine setup you use as for your unthoughtful remark on turbos they dont work that way you fool. you can run 2 turbos even 3 turbos on any engine and they wont be hooked up together all you do is have 1 custom made intake. When will people learn not to speak of things which they know nothing about? RevinHigh what you posted would be the exact same thing if i said any bodybuilder could kick a martial artist's ass but i have kicked the crap out of a lot of bodybuilders and i have studied 9 different martial arts styles yet i am half their size. Think about that you stupid little kid.

there's a member called big rob, he's been here for longer than i have that's for sure, i hadn't seen him postign for ages, but i saw him jsut the other day.... are you from sydney?? which country?

22. Re: how could you get 512Hp from a inline 4???

that would be so much boost it would be undrivale at 4,000 or whenever they spool up the shove in the back would be crazy. i think a huge amount of the car must be intercoolers.

23. Re: how could you get 512Hp from a inline 4???

It's very possible to pull 500+ horsepower with I4, if you can make alot of horsepower with a small engine like an inline4 than your made. Pikes peak has an I4 that runs 1000+ hp, correct me if im wrong. Also, this has such great acceleration, this all has to do with it's aerodynamics, and lightweight, this car also looks mad good

you're a twat

25. Re: how could you get 512Hp from a inline 4???

it's really a compromise.....Reliability for power and speed....which...i don't really think is that bad!

did you know that a standard service for a Mclaren F1 costs £20000?
