Hsv are'nt going to put the Hrt 427 into production.

They basically said that costs were too high

  2. Re: HSV working on a $200,000 super monaro

need i remind YOU that australia is one of the most (if not THE most) regulated countries in the world and has one of the highest tarrifs on anything coming in to the country. Need i remind you how bloody Unionised Australia is, every bloody week there industrial action of some kind or another. Don't say stuff about a country if you are going to be hypocritical.

Take for example a freind who bought a Volvo C70 O/S and imported it. Guess how much tarrif he paid. 98%, do you think that is reasonable. I sure as hell don't.

Ric3r's aren't ppl, they are cars. Calling ppl Ric3r's is being racist, doesn't matter if the person is Asian or not, you are still insulting a culture that you know nothing about. I'm sure you have been on the end of racisism.

  3. Re: HSV working on a $200,000 super monaro

the asian culture is a culture we could learn a lot from.

asian people generally have a fantastic work ethic, just look at some of the asian parents working 3 jobs so they can put their children through school and uni. a lot better than your typical 'she'll be right mate, forget my wife, lets get a few more beers' bogan

  4. Re: HSV working on a $200,000 super monaro

Thats true and all except for the "she'll be right mate, forget my wife, lets get a few more beers going"...there is nothing typical about that. Yes it happens but its not the average australian.

  5. Re: HSV working on a $200,000 super monaro

    its the stereo-typical australian.

  6. Re: HSV working on a $200,000 super monaro

It isn't accurate though nor is it a true representation of the typical australian.

  7. Re: HSV working on a $200,000 super monaro

steroe-tpyes never are, but they still exist.

  8. Re: HSV working on a $200,000 super monaro

I know that. I was just pointing out that the mentality pornstar is sugesting isnt reflective of most Australians.

  9. Re: HSV working on a $200,000 super monaro

not most, yes, but an alarmingly large amount of australians. it probably happens (to excess) in america, nz, england (especially liverpool), ireland, etc.

  10. Re: HSV working on a $200,000 super monaro

every country has its own steroetype and australia is no differnet, its just that the stereotypes just happens to be a bogan. And yes, i agree with pornstar, the stereotype just doesn't come out of thin air, there are are lagre amount of people who could fit into the "typical australian" stereotype

  11. Re: HSV working on a $200,000 super monaro

at university, i observed the australians didn't seem to put in nearly the same effort in as the asian or european exchange students, so no, the stereotypes don't come out of thin air

  12. Re: HSV working on a $200,000 super monaro

Do keep in mind that someone who has come from overseas will most likely work very hard or harder than the local people becaues they have gone that extra effort to get the position. I'm sure in any country a foreign exchange student would work just as hard or harder than the local people.

  13. Re: HSV working on a $200,000 super monaro

yeah we only need a 70% class attendance rate i think they need 80 or 85% (i'm out of uni now)

  14. Re: HSV working on a $200,000 super monaro

So you just pretty much argued against yourself??

  15. Re: HSV working on a $200,000 super monaro

read it again idiot i said australians need a 70% class attendance rate, while they need 85% or so, which means they have to work during the lectures while we recover from hangovers etc.

  16. Re: HSV working on a $200,000 super monaro

Okay lets go back to the start...you said:

"at university, i observed the australians didn't seem to put in nearly the same effort in as the asian or european exchange students, so no, the stereotypes don't come out of thin air"

Then you mention that Australians have different attendance requirements compared with other students. So obviously the amount of effort put in by Australian students isnt refelective of stereotype, but attendance requirements...idiot.

  17. Re: HSV working on a $200,000 super monaro

yeh but if you havent been to that country then how can you judge it, thru what i hear? the media. Well the media portrays things for entertainment not the truth. the typical aussie that has kangaroos as pets woudl be put in jail.

And pornstar you're not typical australian, you're a typical pornstar, your head is not there, your brain only knows how to do one thing

  18. Re: HSV working on a $200,000 super monaro

yeah international students are forced to work harder to an extent, but they (and i may be wrong, i may be right) seem to generally put more effort into the courses.

and you must agree, being a real pornstar (i wish)is a pretty sweet lifestyle: shag heaps of hot chicks, and get paid heaps for it

  19. Re: HSV working on a $200,000 super monaro

hmmm.. i think that we got a little off topic here. Who really cares which country works harder, the difference is that they may work harder, but back home they get a lot less money, Taiwan has a minimum wage of between $12,000-$14,000, compared to australia which is more than double that. However just casue the yare cheap labour doesn't mean that the cars produced there are crap, i mean i don't like that many Japanese cars apart from the Skyline, Supra and EVO's, but take Lexus for example, the GS's are crap, but some of them are quite good quality. Comparativley asians are more effiecient, getting better build quality at a fraction of the cost (compared to Australia).

  20. Re: HSV working on a $200,000 super monaro

"Comparativley asians are more effiecient, getting better build quality at a fraction of the cost (compared to Australia). "

And that is based on what?

  21. Re: HSV working on a $200,000 super monaro

the GS is a good rear drive sedan, its the soggy front drive ES that is crap, along with the RX330, and that chromed up landcruiser (forgotten the exact name)

  22. Re: HSV working on a $200,000 super monaro

    chromed up landcrusier = LX470??

Same applies to the ES...chromed up Vienta Grande (well when they had those)

  23. Re: HSV working on a $200,000 super monaro

thanks for the clear up...they would have to be some of the worst cars the japs have produced over the last few years

  24. Re: HSV working on a $200,000 super monaro

I cruize in the GS LEX, Cartier specs with the fresh gortex

    Courtesy of Big L (RIP)

  25. Re: HSV working on a $200,000 super monaro

I didn't think they were all that bad. I mean they aren't my style of car but I don't think there is all that much wrong with them. Although paying 70K for an ES300 is a bit steep when Vienta Grande's were 45K...and V8 Caprices were about 72K.
