Yeah, I was kinda headstrong and blind, but I was around 15 or something at the time. After getting a job and really looking at college, I think I have better judgement now

Also, here are the pics of my car.

Look at the previous wheel gap:

2. Oh shit! You play bass?

3. i know what your talking about. i have tiens on my car for a few months now, getting the tokiko illuminas soon. atleast you didnt cut the springs.

4. Yeah, although right now it's just for fun and I'm still learning. College is going to be the time where it'll get more serious.

OHH. I forgot to mention this, right now I've gotten REALLY big into guitarists (although I don't have the patience to become one myself). I'll probably post a few polls regarding people's opinions of them.

5. How funny, I got Tein H-Techs on my car. I wish they had stiffer rates, though, so I could go over speed bumps faster

What car do you have?

EDIT: Also, it's really lame, but my car is an auto :O . I would have wanted a manual (although I'm not sure if I would have gone with a WRX if I got a manual, the 02-05 WRX manual gearboxes suck), but my parents wanted me to get an auto 'cause they thought that I'd get too distracted with the manual. It wouldn't be that bad, if the auto transmission wasn't so unresponsive with the WRX. It's horrible sometimes. Not only does it have a laggy 2.0l engine to begin with, but the stock torque converter is terrible, combining for an absolutely horrible 0-60ft.

6. 02 mazda protege

oldish pic, lowered for now.

7. Are the Proteges turbocharged? I like their looks, especially the wagon version. Yours looks really nice lowered. Does it ever scrape at all? It's funny, I thought that lowering your car would make it scrape a lot more but I've only scraped it once or twice since I've gotten the new springs.

Impreza = rally racing/AWD = wheel travel

9. only the mazdaspeed proteges. the wagon i really wanted, but couldnt find a good deal at the time, so i settled for this.

and what do you know? 2 months later, im working at a toyota dealership, adn viola, black mica protege 5, 5 speed, black leather.

10. Yeah, it sucks how things like that happen. This isn't really the same thing, but, when I was looking around at cars, I had two top choices by the end of the year. Either I could get a WRX, or the MK5 GTI. I LOVED (and still do) the GTI. I wasn't big on the looks, but the interior was nice, likewise the engine, but the transmission was the best transmission ever (in a car below 40k). Or, I could get a WRX. I chose the WRX, but I didn't realize how much of a difference the 2.5l in the '06 makes. Unfortunately, the auto '06 WRX was way out of our price range (auto tranny only comes in ltd. edition bullshit, so an '06 auto WRX is around 29k). But if I had gotten a manual '06, the differences are huge. Firstly, you have the AC. The AC lags my car up quite a bit, but the extra .5l on the new ones really helps compensate for that. But more importantly, the .5l engines in the new ones can get insane HP gains just by replacing the exhaust (the 2.0l can, too, but the torque increase isn't as big). Furthermore, turbo upgrades with an '06 don't require upgraded fuel pumps and aren't laggy. If my friend with an '06 gets engine management and another turbo, he can easily be faster than an STi, and he'll only spend around 2k.

im just gonna stick with my RX7 as my fun toy.

12. Of course he plays bass, he's black

13. Haha this place was pretty fun.

14.
15. It's funny when you said something like "I'm glad I don't have to know chords since I play the bass" in the same thread you were talking about going to Berkley.

16. lol someone needs to photoshop stew's face in there.

17. I meant that I didn't have to know how to strum chords. I said it incorrectly.

18. The 5 spds dont suck just dont go around trying to spin the tires.

19. There's a great print of that at my school. I'm not going to take a pic.

20. welcome back.

any luck on scoring with scar yet?

21. If you go on the warranty issue thread on NASIOC, around 75% of the posts are concerning issues with the transmission. And quite a few of those cars are stock, too.

22. no sex with scar!

duh we remember you. it hasnt been *that long

23. Yeah, for whatever reason it felt like I had been absent for a lot longer than I have. It's probably due to the huge amount of changes and stuff that happened over the past year.

Are you still in Alaska? Which city were you in? Ketchikan (sp, I know)?
