yah that happened to me. i ran for 20 mins straight which used to be fkin easy peasy no problem stuff and i was practically dead afterwards

I mostly "run" on the elliptical at the gym unless I'm running up to play basketball (about a mile each way to the courts), which I do almost every day (playing basketball, I do the elliptical like five times a week). Tonight I'm going to try to do at least 8 miles in 70 minutes or less (on the elliptical). Though, I may decide to go longer than that, in which case I'll probably go at a slower pace.

How effective are salmon pills? Never heard of that before.
I just try to eat well and get a lot of sleep. I committed myself to a sprint triathalon in a couple months, so I need any help I can get. Currently I'm jogging three times a week and doing low impact cardio like swimming and biking 4-5 times a week for two hours a day.
I've always sucked at running, so any runners feel free to give advice for time and distance improvement. I've only ever been able to run 6 miles @ 6 mph. Right now a few miles at that speed is really uncomfortable.
also, good running shoes are important too btw. i have saucony's, there good.

I don't know, I'm not really as serious about training as I should be, so I can't gauge the effectiveness... but I've read they are good for your cardiovascular system.

man I was about the same when started going to our gym, granted I had been smoking pretty good leading up to it, now I have the odd dart. I could barely run just a few hundred meters (uphill) without feeling like my lungs were gunna give in.
I sprint a mile after every workout at the gym (unless I did a leg workout). I run a mile in about 6 flat, which is not bad for someone who's never been a competitive runner and has short, stubby legs.
I gotta say I have some target brand one-a-day vitamins and they def make me feel better day to day and have more energy and shit. like 10 bucks for 500.
I'm going to try to get up to doing a half-marathon, so 13 miles, on the elliptical every time I do cardio at the gym. Unless I'm in a hurry for whatever reason. I was doing that once or twice a week a while back, but I want to do it at a faster pace. I'd be happy if I could knock it out in like 100-120 minutes. I don't know how that would translate to actual running/a treadmill, as I like to keep some resistance on the elliptical.

The thing that sucks about fish oil capsules is that sometimes they make your breath smell like fish, and your urine is horrible smelling. But they do work. I like them a lot.
I had some a while back and they'd make me sort of burp a lot and it tasted like fish every time. Thing is, I REALLY don't like fish, so I just threw them away.
damn, half marathons, you guys are nuts. i've only done 2 10ks, even then it was enough. I didnt have really good shoes so one of my big toenails fell off some time later cus of the impacting.

Well, it's not bad when I wear them on the elliptical because you don't have the impact and you rarely lift your feet. That's actually part of why I do the elliptical as opposed to the treadmill. And when I wear them running, I don't do very long distance and it's more of a jog (like going up to the courts).
running barefoot on dirt and stuff isn't bad for your shit bro. unless that's some hard dirt you feel me
