I just ran about 1000 meters

  1. Guys not to brag but if anyone has questions about running/starting to run I think I will have vital information.

    I just started working out around 5 months ago. I started at eliptical doing 10km/m not sure what the machine showed but I was usually on it for an hour. I ran at that point around 2km. I can now run 10km. I'm going for more soon.

    By the end of this week I hope to say I have lost OVER 35lbs :D

  4. Nice. I've actually lost about 20lbs in the last six months (most in the last three months), which is kind of shocking to me. I think I gained the weight so slowly that I didn't realize I'd gained so much. Now I'm down to 130 (weighed last night).
     
  5. 10km or miles. I was unsure what the machine goes by.

    I started at 240lbs, which was far from overweight for me. If you see me you would understand. I am now, latest weigh in was 204lbs, and I hope to weight in steadily under 200lbs. My goal is approx 40-50lbs :D
     
  6. I usually set my resistance in the 7-10 range, depending on my mood.

  9. If I lost that much weight I'd die. I need to gain it not lose it, but on top of that I need to get my shit healthier

    and tim: yeah, those would be for speed. that was our track workouts, we'd do it twice or three times in five days and either run up hills all day or do 8+ mile runs in between.

    the worst long runs was that the bus would drive us out to the reservoir near 280 and we'd have to run back to school, so you couldn't cheat, and if you tried to walk or something you just wouldn't get there in a reasonable time.

    ugh so glad I don't do that anymore, our coach was an ex-marine drill instructor that is now in prison
     
  10. I've decided I'm going to do this again today. gonna do a short run every day.
     
  11. Yeah, I'm definitely not a strong post presence or anything. I'm also only ~5'8"-9". But I'm pretty quick and have a decent shot, at least. I really wish we could get all the SC.net guys together and play. I think that'd be pretty damn fun.

  20. Im only 6' but i can post up pretty well on guys that arent too tall. I think scorp would probably beast us since hes a minority who can dunk. Mcgriffin too

  23. id be in mega in for playing some ball, except im not very good. more athletic than skilled. I do play pretty solid D and get quite a few rebounds for being 5'9 tho. the offense is pretty ugly, need to improve that bit.
     
  24. I keep wanting to. But I know how much it will suck, both during and after.
     
  25. No time like the present. My family now has a history of heart disease so I figure I need to keep in shape. Don't mess around with this kind of stuff because you never know.
