Re: IMPORTS SUCK I'll take your word for it then. I guess then that my neighbour's 84 V6 GT is non-existent then.
Re: IMPORTS SUCK im ust be a figment of youre imagination...lol...j/p...well if it had a v6 then it was not called a gt...as i said before every gt has sported a v8
Re: IMPORTS SUCK Whatever you say.....I'm going to believe a registration form and the label on the car before I believe you. I think it's more likely that the 80's stangs included a lot of V6 gt's.
Re: IMPORTS SUCK listen guy so what you are telling us is u really dont own a porche you just like to read about them in magazines.yes tacamas are great trucks.but i,ve seen chevys and ford with the same miles on them and still running too.the only thing you need to know about this 82 gt is that yes the only production car to be faster than the 82 gt in 1982 was a porche now dont get to happy because when put on a road course the blinding speed of that same porche sent it spinning out of control and off the track. so what production car was king in 1982 the mustang gt of course! oh and since you like to read so much get a vintage road and track and you will see these are FACTS!
Re: IMPORTS SUCK what v6 gt there is no such thing. there were a few turbo 4 cyl gts but not v6s.oh you must be talking about that gt made by mitsubishi.some people talk just to talk go figure.
Re: IMPORTS SUCK sorry guy your neighbors v6 stang must have had the gt emblems but most defintely was not a gt.NO SUCH THING!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Re: IMPORTS SUCK No you couldn't. I believe in 83 or 84, the RARE turbo 4 GT came along. In 82 you could get a 255 V8 if you ordered it with an auto, which was rare. The 82 GT, in 1982 was the fastest production car in the US with the exception of 1 Porsche IIRC. It outperformed the Camaro AND the Vette. By today's standards, it seems unimpressive. All you need to make some power is get a new carb and ditch the emmissions crap. Just with exhaust and removed emissions, an 82 GT is in the mid 14s, and with a better intake and carb setup and rear gears, yo ucan get into 13s
Re: IMPORTS SUCK Ummm, yes, 1982GT Turbos were available in Canada. http://www.mustanggt.org/canadiangt/canadiangt.htm There is a guy at the end of my street that is restoring one exactly the same as the black one pictured in this article. A rare car, but they were available.
Re: IMPORTS SUCK My bad. I forgot about the Canadian GTs. I'd like to have one of the Mexican stangs though, with the Capri bubble hatch and fender flares
a friend of mine in his 1986 mustang gt (200hp EFI) got his car running 12.5 second 1/4 mile running straight pipes, performance air filters, and a performance differential. all told he spent maybe $3000 on a bad ass car, low because he bought it used. go bang your head against a wall jakass because a ricer couldnt even remotely match that on a that little of money. grow up and spend your money on the best deal.
you want to talk about reliable? a guy that lived close to me had an old dodge van with over 1,200,000 miles, that's right 1.2 million. he never had a problem with it, still on his first engine, all he did was take it in for tuneups and regular maintenance. (the reason he got so many miles was because his job involved him traveling all over the country).
Um, yeah, then explain how an EF chassis Civic Dx can be made to run the 1/4 in 12.5, for $3000 (add cost of car and you end up with $5,000 - $9,000). That's a #$%#ing Dx. And it can actually turn once it reaches the corners (even with it's huge front Micky Thompsons), I'd like to see you navigate this 5000lb hunk of scrap metal through a series of decreasing radius turns at 80+ km/h without spinning out and flying 4000m into the ravine, after the first turn.
wut about my Mercedes-Benz CLS-55 AMG that goes 0-60 in 3.5 secs thanks to kleemann upgrades??? theres no American crap on that car and i drag race it weekly. im constantly taking out Z06's, mustangs, cameros, firebirds... u name it! the only time i was beat by an american car was wen i was having timing problems! i'd say imports are pretty good....
is nonsense to call a "HIGH PERFORMANCE CAR" a piece of shit of this size. if this is the high performance version... i don't wan't to imagine the cheapest...
Yeah imports suck! I'd way rather have a V8 with 157BHP than a V6 with 300. After all, you go faster with more cylinders, so nothing else matters. *holds up enormous rebel flag, flashing buck teeth* Jesus Christ.....
