International best engine awards.

    lol!

anyways, remember, the rotary engine works differently than a normal combustion engine, one revolution of rotary engine is teh same as 2 revolutions of a normal one, that's why many insiders consider a 1.3L rotary is just a normal engine with 2.6L, just times it by 2. SO, the cosmo, with 3 rotors, is like a car with 4000cc.

    According to LeMans.

  3. Re: International best engine awards.

    Well the Cobra R is...

  4. Re: International best engine awards.

    ?

  5. Re: International best engine awards.

Lemans made the 787B count as double the displacement.

  6. Re: International best engine awards.

Well if you go by Lemans ruling it would be 96HP/L in the RX-8 which is still very respectable.

Anyway this whole argument is getting quite gay I mean dodge has even used several mitsubishi engines in their cars, and lots of europeans have used american engines, the only companys in the world that dont use foreign engines are actually the japs. Now that does not make them any better, I mean different engines have different purposes, if you look at the S-2000 it is built to be a driver/enthusiast car not a dragster.

  7. Re: International best engine awards.

    What argument?

  8. Re: International best engine awards.

Oh yea, and the only japanese car that actually won the Le Mans.

  9. Re: International best engine awards.

I hope Yugo enters a car this year so it can win a victory for whatever country it's from.

  10. Re: International best engine awards.

    So why didn't they?

  11. Re: International best engine awards.

WEll, Honda wanted something different, something that's magificent, something that can shock many people. Not an ordinary V6.

  12. Re: International best engine awards.

What is the magnificent thing that shocks people?

  13. Re: International best engine awards.

120hp/L in a NA engine with 9000redline which passes strict emission law an still be reliable.

  14. Re: International best engine awards.

Damn that state of California, with all of their smog laws. So long two strokes.

  15. Re: International best engine awards.
