Is it worth it?

1. I think of buying one. It's somehow SO sexy. Do you think that there's a better deal on the planet? DOn't think so and I already nearly have made up my mind...

How much are they used? Roughly? In Germany?

IMO they are worth it!

Not many cars offer as much thrills as the Elise.

I don't know what they sell for in Germany but the retail price is around £22,995 here in the UK and the re-sale value of these cars is sky high and so like the Boxster they hardly lose their value.

If it's an Elise S2 you want then expect only a couple of grand to be knocked off for a second hand car
3. Re: Is it worth it?

If all you want to do is drive for the fun of it, then I say yes. But it has a tiny interior, barely any headroom and no ac or CD stereo coming standard.

4. Re: Is it worth it?

A/c is a cost option

Almost every Elise I have ever seen has a stereo

My 6'4", 200lb friend manages to sit in mine no problem, and if you are taller you can take the roof off - then you've got about 15 miles of headroom (aka 'the sky')

Alternatively, if these are the things that are important to you when choosing a car look elsewhere. A concert hall for example will amply meet all the criteria that you seem to think this car 'lacks', but it won't handle quite as sharply

I would say yes its worth it. That car looks fun as hell! I had a 1973 VW Bug and that was the funnest car ive ever driven. This is basically a way sporty bug with way better style. Just look at that wheelbase. That thing could turn on a dime. Seriouly I bet it has a one of the lowest turning radius, guiness book material. Bukem just how much fun do you have with your Elise? Probably has a Scary Slalom Speed.

Mazda Pimp,

the Elise is stupidly good fun. Put it this way, in two and a bit years of ownership, I only use my other car (Merc SLK) to got to the shops.

The Elise is noisy, it leaks, it smells (sometimes), it's nearly leathal in the wet / cold. And I wouldn't change anything about it.

Hope that answers your question
