HELL YA! why shouldnt it race?! It would dominate all racing. just look at the stats and it shows.

  2. Re: Is this a race worthy car?

It would have to conform the the class of racing it's in so if it was in GTS racing a LeMans it would be less powerfull.

  3. Re: Is this a race worthy car?

There was one of these taking some hot laps around the track at the Laguna Seca Historic Races last weekend. Just before the Andretti Hairpin the driver lost control and almost went into the wall, it was scary to see such a beautiful car almost destroyed. I took some pics after the driver regained control and started driving slow again.

  4. Re: Is this a race worthy car?

Good question. It may have to be edited a lot, as the FIA doens't allow AWD, and I;m sure they think a 1001-hp beast vs. a 600hp car isn't really all that fair...

  5. Re: Is this a race worthy car?

This would be an excellent race car.

Given I have read VW is planning to breath new life into the Bugatti name, Racing may be a good opportunity for them to showcase their companies skills (along with producing overpriced hatchbacks).

  6. Re: Is this a race worthy car?

    absolutly not, *spell check

  7. Re: Is this a race worthy car?

It is doubtful but possible, as stated many times there would have to be alot of changes to the car and the engine would need to dramatically de-tuned.

  8. Re: Is this a race worthy car?

I don't know why anyone WOULDN"T think that this is a race worthy car! What other car, i am sure there is one out there, but what other car comes STOCK with a W-16 engine??? and can go that fast??
i think the Bugatti 16/4 Veyron beats the living hell out of the McClaren F1!!! (not by much, but it is still faster, and winning is winning!) i would like to SEE a video of the 2 cars racing, i think that would be awesome!!

  9. Re: Is this a race worthy car?

Thats part of the problem, with the engine in the car theres no class it can enter so a race version would need a different engine, for it to enter LeMans and ALMS Bgatti would not only need a smaller engine but for the classes the car would be eligable for Bugati would need another car on the market with the engine they've replaced the W16 with.

  10. Re: Is this a race worthy car?

I don't like people that say that other cars suck. Esspecially people with hyper-tuned Japanese Sportscars that say European cars are slow. If u put Stage four twin-turbo into a Lamborghini, they wouldn't stand a chance. If u ask some people which car they think is better, a Mercedes-Benz C43 AMG or a Nissan Skyline GTS, they would say the Skyline, firstly because they think that Mercs are just luxury cars and are slow, and secondly because too many people modify cars, so they think its a modified 1.

  11. Re: Is this a race worthy car?

    oh, and NOS sucks

  12. Re: Is this a race worthy car?

I certainly hope they make a racing version of this car because it will certainly dominate on the race track.

I'd love to see this car race, but the whole thing is just too much. Obviously the engine would have its teeth cut in racing trim. And some sort of aero racing kit would be slapped on. But trash the extra drive train, eliminate the luxury, and you'd have one hell of a racer. One more thing; I'd love to see this car in a single tone paint job, like a deep chameleon orange.

Don't hate me cause I'm ignant.

  15. Re: Is this a race worthy car?

THats not the bugatti car site.

  16. Re: Is this a race worthy car?

VW-Audi group still owns Bugatti, not GM and the Veyron is still set for production with first cars rolling off the line early next year. And that link is for Bugatti leather goods not Bugatti automobiles.

  17. Re: Is this a race worthy car?

your right. I was trying to find a bugatti site over a year ago, and it came up with a leather site.

Yeah, but remember it's AWD, so you know, not so good around the track. We're thinking more of lemans, so the car would need to be worked on further. But thanks for the support.

Have you read any of the thread, the car would need some seriouse de-tuning to make it race worthy, theres probably not much point in making it a race car cos you would need to take off the tubo's, limit the power to around 620Bhp, reduce the weight to around 1100Kg and change the drivetrain to MR not 4WD, and only then can you start on the aerodynamics of the car.

  24. Re: Is this a race worthy car?

I hope I see this in LeMans it's so COOL!!! I mean look at the body styling, top speed, which is 3rd out of every car on this website and it's good for 0-60 too! Why not?

Read a few of the logical posts in the thread an you will get the idea.
