Isn't this thing on Grand Turismo 3 A-Spec

  1. Isn't this car on GT3 A-Spec? I did notice that this Ruf is listed as a n/a flat-6 while the Ruf RGT in GT3 was a twin turbo six. The Ruf RGT in GT3 is one of the most powerful cars in the game. All of the engine upgrades gets you well over 1000 HP. If this isn't the same, oh well. It's still a damned awesome car and would definitely have a space in my garage if I could afford such a thing.

Most powerful? I love this car but, most powerful? Have u ever seen the Escudos Pikes Peak? that well over 1500 hp.

Its the best Porsche....Ruf in the game.

Plenty of others have more power than it

Formula 1 cars are the best in the game

I like the sound of the GT40 more than any other in the game

I think that the R390 road car is awsome too. But my favorit has got to be the RUF RGT.

Escudo has no handleing on the track, the GT 40 is no competition comared to these cars, and if you set it up[ right, all that the F1 cars have on the RGT is handleing.

Top speed the Ruf is about third on my list.

    1. escudo
    2. Lotus eprit (which suprised me)
    3. RUF RGT

Just to correct, the RUF RGT in Gran Turismo 3 is definitely a n/a car. You can add turbos, but it begins as an atmo 3.6 litre. I actually prefer it as a highly tuned atmo car because while it might "only" produce 578hp or something like that, the atmo cars in GT3 seem to be much more driveable (handling, power-down out of corners are much better with less wheelspin and therefore less tendency to spin off) than modified turbos, and they don't fry their tyres so quickly! (Btw, just on that point, I modified up a TVR Tuscan Speed 6 to the max, and on supersoft tyres, short-shifting EVERY gearchange at Laguna Seca, I could NOT nurse 5 laps out of the bastard... tyres were completely fried by lap 4) =) Peace!

PS. We are talking about a game here... so the first nutter to flame me for "never having driven" anything here will be SHOT... =)

lol, gt3 is suprisingly realistic. My car of choice would be the tommy karina II or woteva it is, that easily matche the RGT but it beats it because of 4wd, which benefits its handling greatly, but yes the escudo has 1850bhp or sumting and the F1 cars are the fastest but not as exciting as something over powered which is really tail happy :D

a well driven fully tuned Escudo can beat a well driven fully tuned
    RGT in Gran Turismo 3

  8. Re: Isn't this thing on Grand Turismo 3 A-Spec

True, but it's EXTREMELY difficult to drive an Escudo well. The thing's just got too much power, and too much understeer thanks to the AWD, and it's power band is in like a 2000rpm range. Below about 6500 it's got NOTHING, and I mean nothing. Above that it spins its wheels, all four of them, in ANY gear. Absolutely ridiculous. I took a tuned one out of curiosity to achieve a top speed of 452.2 km/h, and the bastard was still spinning its wheels in 6th gear at 430 km/h, and continued to spin its wheels for five seconds after I let go of the throttle to take the corner!

My favourite car at the moment would have to be the Zonda Race Car - it might be slower than a Toyota GT-ONE or Nissan R390 in a straight line but has better braking, handling and power to the ground - I love the way you can take a higher gear and that V12 torque just pulls it out of the corner anyway! N/A all the way!

I love the rgt on the game and in real life.....I think that the Porsche 996 is one of the sexiest cars in the world.......and then the Ruf RGT is just that plus 10 I know that if I ever get that much money or ever get my Dad to buy me a car it would have to be a Ruf RGT.

In GT3, go to Like the wind with the fully modded escudo and get the Viper to draft you... It will start pulling on you <A BORDER="0" HREF="http://www.supercars.net/emoticons.html"><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="http://speed.supercars.net/cboardhtml/emoticons/smile.gif"></A> <A BORDER="0" HREF="http://www.supercars.net/emoticons.html"><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="http://speed.supercars.net/cboardhtml/emoticons/smile.gif"></A> hehe

You win this car on the turbo race on Profesional mode.

I think the point the guy is making is a car is only as good as its driver. You can have say a 700hp mid engine V12 race car, if you put a 15 year old behind the wheel who has no driving experience, what do you think will happen?
